Soup anyone?

Our group has at least 2 meals at the Summer Kitchen in the Fall. There is ample parking and it is handicap accessible. Depending of the day and time there could be a waiting line, but they do have outdoor seating also. The inside is a little small but it has a very quaint Northwoods setting... read more

This chilly day on October we opted for soup & sandwiches. We have been here for breakfast and lunch in other years. Very friendly staff. My sandwich-a grilled ham Reuben- was so delicious, I asked our server to let the chef know how much I enjoyed it. She did, and he came out to say thanks! Charming country gardens outside... More

Food is home cooked. No "francise like" portions. Eating area overlooks a quaint garden area with lots of trees, and bird houses.

We stopped for lunch. Have always enjoyed the soup bar. We opted for the two cup soup lunch. Very small cups. Price was $10.95. Cabbage soup was good but could not find much ham. The Chicken Dumpling was primarily dumpling. Bread accompanying the soup was good. Wait staff attentive and friendly. Believe that they need to improve the price/value equation... More

Based on the other reviews, you have thought it would have been better, but unfortunately it was a sad state of affairs. From the time we walked in - we couldn't wait to leave. :-( The soup was tepid, not hot which is what we were hoping for. For the price that you pay to eat here, it was a... More

You cannot be disappointed by your choice off this menu. I had French toast that was so light and perfect. And the service was excellent.

Twice we have tried this restaurant as it is a great location and atmosphere. We loved the idea of the soup Buffett. After getting ill the first time. We decided to try again. Unfortunately the soup was just lightly warm. We choose something else. And have not returned.

My wife and I each had the omlette breakfast. It was good. The omlette was light & fluffy. Breakfast is served until 11:00am. We were a little after that, but they were kind to accomodated us.

I was expecting same type of food as first visit. There was ony 4 choices of soup. The soup I had was too thick(Cream of Mushroom) I thought I could refill like first visit but now it was only one cup with your main dish. The sandwich was ok and so was soup this time. The view of the gardens in... More

Stopped here for lunch. My wife and I had the special, which consisted of a half of a Reuben Sandwich with Thousand Islands Dressing on the side, a slice of cantaloupe, and a small bunch of red grapes. Our son opted for the Philly Steak Sandwich. All items included a cup of one of five soups, along with a thick... More
