Went here with my wife and friends, who are regulars. They have an extensive menu but have a great soup bar of 5 soups. I had the all can eat soup which comes with fresh bread and a cherry sparkle (cherry juice and 7Up). My wife had an excellent grilled cheese sandwich. For dessert we shared their excellent cherry and... More

It is an ok building but way overpriced for what you get. Homecooked food, decent quality but 13+ for a lunch is a lot for average family.

All the promotional papers and listings in the area leave you expecting a wonderful and unique dining experience. We thought it was pretty run-of-the-mill and disappointing, given the hype. Our meals included a trip to the soup bar - it felt like we were being sent to a 1970s soup/salad bar - just not terribly appealing. The soups were OK,... More

Restaurants in Door County often charge high prices for mediocre food, but not here. Delightful food, friendly service and fair prices make this an excellent choice. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, too.

We should have planned or shopping trip better or just drove into Sister Bay for lunch. However we were getting hungry and needed a break. Their claim to fame is the soup bar. I get it, it was cute in a kitschy way and the soups we had were good. However, my chicken salad was a bag salad mix topped... More

The sandwiches, salads and desserts are quite good here, but the real reason to eat at the Summer Kitchen is the soup bar. There are always fresh baked bread with five (count 'em: 5!) different soups, usually including tomato, French cabbage, and either chicken noodle or chicken dumpling. There's usually a vegetable soup (e.g., navy bean or beef vegetable) and... More

We have found Summer Kitchen to be one of those places we always seem to go back to. They have 5 soups hot and fresh every day, and you can enjoy sampling each soup if you want. Their menu is generous with so many choices. We find it to be a little on the pricey side, but we still really... More

While places right in town were packed and had a wait, we were able to walk right in to this restaurant. Have been to Ephraim many times but had not eaten here. The service was friendly, the soup delicious and the food very tasty! I would go here again.

Had breakfast twice here over the last week, both times very good. Generous portions, great tasting, and a quaint little restaurant with a very friendly staff. The place is as cute as it can be.
