Stopped here for lunch. My wife and I had the special, which consisted of a half of a Reuben Sandwich with Thousand Islands Dressing on the side, a slice of cantaloupe, and a small bunch of red grapes. Our son opted for the Philly Steak Sandwich. All items included a cup of one of five soups, along with a thick... More

Cute decor and great food! The staff are very friendly. We enjoyed the outdoor decorations, shown through the windows.

My daughter and I have been vacationing in Door County for the past 6 yrs. We ALWAYS go to the Summer Kitchen and LOVE it! The food is delicious and the service is the BEST. We have been taken care of by Clarissa several times and she is so sweet and aims to please. She should get a Best Waitress... More

We stopped by this restaurant at the end of our week in Door County. We really enjoyed the variety of soups available, and their fresh bread is delicious. Meals came quickly, plates adorned with fresh ripe fruit. My dad said his Angus burger was probably the best he'd ever had. And you can't leave Door County without having a piece... More

It was only me in the early morning, and no one was in the place; but still....from the server saying "just one!" and her overpowering perfume, to having to ask for a coffee refill in an empty restaurant, to the cook who decided omlette means scrambled eggs, to walking in on said cook sitting on the pot in the bathroom... Went here with my wife and friends, who are regulars. They have an extensive menu but have a great soup bar of 5 soups. I had the all can eat soup which comes with fresh bread and a cherry sparkle (cherry juice and 7Up). My wife had an excellent grilled cheese sandwich. For dessert we shared their excellent cherry and... More

It is an ok building but way overpriced for what you get. Homecooked food, decent quality but 13+ for a lunch is a lot for average family.

All the promotional papers and listings in the area leave you expecting a wonderful and unique dining experience. We thought it was pretty run-of-the-mill and disappointing, given the hype. Our meals included a trip to the soup bar - it felt like we were being sent to a 1970s soup/salad bar - just not terribly appealing. The soups were OK,... More

Restaurants in Door County often charge high prices for mediocre food, but not here. Delightful food, friendly service and fair prices make this an excellent choice. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, too.

We should have planned or shopping trip better or just drove into Sister Bay for lunch. However we were getting hungry and needed a break. Their claim to fame is the soup bar. I get it, it was cute in a kitschy way and the soups we had were good. However, my chicken salad was a bag salad mix topped... More
