Aptly named long standing favorite!

The Summer Kitchen has been at the same location forever. They have changed ownership repeatedly, but the good food & relaxed atmosphere are constant. When we first started going here, the AYCE soup & bread special was $5.95. At $15 now, they can make a lot of soup! Good breakfasts & desserts.

The best part about this location was the service. Just excellent service here. The menu has a wife variety to satisfy everyone in the family. Clean and comfortable. Prices were OK

Excellent food....exemplary service....flowers everywhere....and a soup bar. Loved this place. We had the special which consisted of 1/2 Reuben sandwich, a big portion of fresh fruit, a trip to their soup bar and an ample piece of Dutch Apple pie for dessert....all for $12.95. We sat on the porch and it was delightful. Highly recommend.

This is one of my favorite spots! If you are looking for a good breakfast, friendly, family atmosphere...this is the place! I enjoy the breakfast burrito, scrambled egg, egg with green & red peppers in wrap served with salsa & sour cream with fresh fruit garnish. My husband enjoys the farmers special, 2 eggs, cooked as you choose, hash browns,... More

Have only been here for lunch and have never been disappointed. Good menu which they seem to change up regularly. On this last visit, I had the cream of asparagus soup and wedge salad. Delicious!! Recommend eating here!

My sons and husband loved the soups. All homemade and you can get unlimited for $15. I had a salad and it wasn't the greatest. This is a place reminded me of my Grandma's cooking. Great homemade pies too!

We ate at The Summer Kitchen to have a light supper before heading over to the Northern Sky Theatre for an evening performance. The lasagne was very tasty as were the soup and salad. A selection of five different soups daily gives enough choices for almost anyone. The tomato-basil soup that both of us choose was delicious. We have eaten... More

Door County is lovely but pricy, The Summer Kitchen Restaurant had a great early bird special breakfast that was just right for our pocketbook. The staff was friendly and the restaurant was so cute with lots of flowers and birds to look at from the many windows.

I had Citrus French Toast which had an orange flavor to the batter that the four pieces of French Bread was dipped in. So as not to diminish the orange taste I went without the maple syrup. The side of bacon was prepared as I had requested, crispy, and was a great accompaniment. The service was prompt and cordial.
