Very good food

We visited Pasta Vino last year in 2012. While the food was good, the service was not. I spoke with the owner/manager (?) who said he'd look into it. Service was better this year. Food still very good. Since they don't take reservations, the wait might be quite long. Reservations would definitely... read more

I had to fib and put a rating in, just so I could add this. They closed last year (December 2013??). Trip Advisor has reviews of this location and others mixed in. Pasta Vino is in Baileys Harbor within Maxwellton Braes Golf Course. We didn't find this out until we pull into the Hillside Inn and saw the lights off on... More

My family and I have dined at Pasta Vino's a few times and have always had good food. Last night my family, at table of 7 (three kids) were seated right away when we walked in. Not really busy, but plenty of staff. We first waited for our waitress approximately 10 minutes. Drink orders, etc... Drinks were served and the... More

My husband and I went for dinner. Never been here. It seemed like our waitress, Marsha, did not even want to be there that night! They do have an extensive wine list and when we told our waitress we needed more time to decide, she just walked away. She could have said "take your time" or offered suggestions but she... More

This is one of those restaurants you eat at on your vacation and wish it were in your home town so you could be a regular. A nice couple, Darla and Bob, recommended it to us while we kayaked the Mink River. Four of us ate there and all four had a wonderful experience. The wine selection was as good... More

Take a look at Julie's review of what happened to her in June, as we experienced the same thing. After talking the some of the locals, Pete's son John is well known for his rude and off putting remarks that do not make this a customer friendly environment. Trust me, if you plan to go there and not ask for... More

This is a little gem of an Italian restaurant in Ellison Bay. We had never been there before, but drove by and saw how crowded it was and knew we had to try it. It is a very nice restaurant with friendly staff. Normally I'm very wary of a restaurant that has a very large menu because typically not everything... More

My family and I were fortunate to have dinner at this wonderful restaurant last night! My son and I love Italian cuisine and we were not disappointed at all - especially because it was sooooo good! We arrived early but discovered it was very busy, but were able to sit at the bar/listen to music and order appetizers and wine... More

The restaurant was new to us and the area, but didn't disappoint. The food was excellent and the servers very involved in making the experience the best. The selection is large with a family owned/chefs involved. There is an on site wine tasting area with a large selection of wines for purchase. The restaurant is a must when in the... More

Start in the bar. The best muddled brandy old fashion other than my hubby's. It is a throwback to a more sophisticated time. The wine bar is also quite nice. I had the whitefish piccata and my husband, the veal saltimbocca (?sp). Portions were ample. We both took home a doggy bag and ate the next day.....delicious. We both started... More
