One of the better restaurants in Eau Claire. Prime rib was EXCELLENT. Great service and good food at reasonable cost. Wife wouldn't order seafood in cream sauce again and mushrooms mournet weren't any good. But ALL red meats were excellent.

We had a large group (14) with a reservation before a State theater show. The service was excellent as always, and the food from appetizers ( tried the artichoke dip, and cheese curds) to the main course of steaks to seafood to salads was phenomenal. Try an Oatmeal cookie martini for dessert. You will not be disappointed. The servers know... More

We were looking for a Friday fish fry and ended up at Houligan's. Even though we had no reservations we were able to sit at the bar. We had the fried cheese curds as an appetizer and it tasted more like breading than cheese. The catfish bites wrapped in bacon were good and moist but pricey for 6 at $10.I... More

When we visit Eau Clair and want to go someplace a little more upscale, this is where we go. My favorite is the candied garlic New York Strip, or medallions. Unbelievably flavorful and tasty! The mashed potatoes are really good too. The atmosphere here is really nice, and the service is always good. This will always be one of my... More

Totally loved the fried blue gill sandwich. It had a great homemade bun and chips! Service was very good!

Nice atmosphere, great staff. The steak is amazing. Very expensive. Their rolls are made locally and very good. One of us ordered a fish special that was the same price as the steak, but wayyyyy less special, very disappointing and bland.

Saw this restaurant advertised in our hotel and decided to give it a go. Was pleasantly surprised. Greeting was have you a reservation and when we said no, there was a look..... But found us a table anyway. Waitress Leah was excellent although seemed very busy. We had to wait a while to order, but when our food came it... More

Went here to celebrate graduation from UW EAU. Servers were very friendly and patient with our party of six adults and three small children. The prime rib was excellent.

Houligan's is one of those dark wood English pub places with good, but not extraordinary food. I had a very nice house salad with organic greens and the horseradish crusted salmon. The salmon was nicely prepared and not overcooked and dry as sometimes happens at restaurants.

Houligans has excellent food. Really nice daily specials with fresh flown in fish and the steaks are excellent. Nice wine choices. They do have a bar menu if you choose to do that. Real quality here.
