The Farmstead knows how to grill steaks to perfection. Hot, juicy and flavorful, whether plain or with sautéed mushrooms. The menu hasn't changed in ages, but if it's not broke, don't fix it. Cordial atmosphere and helpful waitstaff, who always make you feel like you're their only table. Only downside is that The Farmstead doesn't take reservations, and there typically... More

The Farmstead is an older building and you do sit very close to other tables. The waitress and staff were very friendly and attentive. The appetizer, Farm Bites, I think, were different, but tasty. The food is a fair value. I would not make this my favorite place to eat considering the many ohtrer options available in Cedarburg.

Great dinner after a bit of a wait, even though we were there before 5pm. As others have said- it's worth the wait. 22oz ribeye was shared by two of us. Another had the filet. Starters were mushroom Brie soup and French onion soup. Both were great. Rice and snap peas complimented the steaks well.

We dined at the Farmstead last night and we really enjoyed the experience. It was a Tuesday night at the place was very crowded...always a good sign. This restaurant is in an old building and very nicely decorated in keeping with the age of the building. The restaurant is small but I didn't feel like the tables were too close... More

If you are looking for a great steak meal in a historic building, this is your place . Get there early and be prepared to have a couple drinks before you get seated but the wait is worth the price of great food! Old Fashions are outstanding at the bar and any dinner entree is outstanding. Don't be afraid to... More

It's so small and quaint, you have to fall in love. The servers are amazing. I have never had better service, ever, anywhere. The food. Oh, my God. The food. The menu is small, but everything on it is delicious. The specials (they have new specials daily) are never disappointing. Prices are a little high, but once you've tasted the... More

We have lived in the best food cities in the world and travel to Milwaukee each summer and this place is worth finding because it's on par with world class food. Very good steaks. The best part is how over the top kid friendly it is. We went with our 6 and 9 year olds and they brought over a... More

Restaurant is at the very edge of town and sits back off the road so it can be easy to miss--we drove right by the first time. But once you find it, you will be happy you did! Be early to avoid the wait! From the minute we arrived the friendly staff was super helpful! Friendly bartenders make fantastic drinks.... More
