My husband and I frequent BJ's a few times a year for special nights out. BJ's has amazing steak dinners and the drinks taste great too! We usually make plans to spend about 2hours for dinner though, because the service can be slow (or even very slow) at times. The food is worth the wait so we keep coming back!... More

B.J. Wentkers has been a long-time favorite of ours but something really bad has happened to this otherwise lovely place. The food is now not only not what it once was (which was excellent) but it is downright terrible. Not one of our entrees-not one-was anything other than ordinary and my daughter's salad went totally uneaten. Not to be outdone,... More

This is far more than a basic grill and tavern. The atmosphere is really great and makes the experience very enjoyable. The menu has a great variety and the quality is what you would expect from a higher dollar establishment. Great beer selection as well.

We went to BJ Wentkers for a retirement gift to our friend. In the past we have gone several times for special occasions. We all ordered Ribeye and everyone's Ribeye was terrible !!! The meat was full of fat and gristle to the point that we could not even eat it. We very kindly complained to the waitress and she... More

The building is beautiful. Though, the current photograph shown for this restaurant with the round hanging lights is most definitely not this establishment. The actual interior is smaller with a copper roof. The location is actually on a triangle where roads meet that causes the unique shape of the building. There are very limited options for nice dining in the... More

We had good service and the food is decent, but for the price, it is not some of the best food I've eaten. A little on the pricey side. The building and history is cool and I would maybe try them for lunch or just for a drink at the bar, but probably not for dinner again just based on... More

This is a historic building, true to it's roots. So decor is very nice - you feel the 1920's. Food is by a long standing chef with a good reputation. It is always dependably good. I do wish the "sides" were a larger selection.

Stopped for a Bloody Mary and a snack on the road to a Lake Geneva weekend and very nearly ruined our dinner plans, the food was so good. Turn of the century brewery tavern with framed photos of the area going back to unpaved roads compliment the service and menu. Too bad its so far from home; we'd be here... More

The Bacon Shrimp were outstanding. However the main courses were less than good. My carrots were cold, the potatoes were room temperature and the chicken was very dry. The other entree was scallops and portobellos which were water logged and flavorless. The server was very good however when I told her our dissatisfaction she made no effort to compensate with... The old building is beautiful from 1906. Enjoyed Ahi Tuna for appetizer, fish fry was also very good. All you can eat, fried cod, perch or baked cod. Comes with slaw, rye roll and only one potatoe pancake (which I thought was the only drawback). Service was good, wine and beer selection good. Regular menu looked a little pricey but... More
