Excellent local food

Nice service that can speak in english, germen and italien. You have to reserve a table around 5 pm to be sure that you can eat that day. Very good ravioli, burley soup, wienerschitzel. Another story are desserts - fantastic. I ate the one with raspberries.

They have great ambient, good food. I can't complain, but it is nothing special. If you normally eat McDonalds, it iexceptional, but if you are eating good food everyday, it?s just overpriced normal food.. Their service is not very friendly. Asked for "acceto balsamico" and waited about 15 minutes for it. These 15 minutes waitress was chating with guests at... More

Having visited this restaurant three times in a week,we enjoyed the Ladin cuisine very much. Some of the meals are available only in this place due to the owners and their sence for tradition and quality. They also keep the service and friendly attitude on very high level. Jiri Prague

very nice and delicious food but quite pricy. nice flavors and atmosphere, still a 2 person dinner (1 shared starter, 2 mains, 1 beer, 1 glass of some house wine and 1 coffee - all mid range menu) gave a bill for a whopping 69euros. aaaaaaaaa! horror! all nice, but keep in mind - this is middle of nowhere, this... We have been visiting Fana Ladina since 2008 and have always found the food and service very good to excellent. Unfortunately last night, this was somewhat tarnished. Having booked and anticipating one of the restaurant's slow cooked signature dishes, we arrived to be informed that the chef had only put 2 in the oven and the first guests had ordered... More

Wonderful hospitality from Alma in this great traditional restaurant. They easily catered to our gluten-free request and proceeded to bring out the most superb gluten-free gnocchi I've ever tasted - and believe me I've tried a few. We had them with a good ragu as well as with a traditional milled poppyseed and sugar mix that you sprinkle on top... More

What you are served with is good food no doubt, made with local products, you are seating outside in the middle of the salads! the originality is in the menu because you can try local dishes. The restaurant is positioned as the good local one. Pity that the service is not to the same standard, customers are treated roughly like... More

Learned about Fana Ladina from Slow Food's Osteria d'Italia book, which has turned out to be an invaluable investment because it has never steered us wrong. Fana Ladina has a very warm and cosy atmosphere where everybody seems to be having fun, particularly the husband-and-wife team who run the place. Typical Ladinese cooking that is very well done, particularly the... More

Planning for winter 2011 to be located closer to Sella Ronda, we finally found ourselves in San Vigilio Di Marebbe. The place turned out to ba a part of Kronplatz resort at half an hour driving distance from the closest Sella Ronda lift. But we got an absolutely marvelous compensation, Fana Ladina. Actually it is more than a nice place... More
