I am picky when it comes to food. That being said, I don't go to Log Cabin. It is average food, high in salt, low in flavor. There are other places in Baraboo I would choose to spend my money.

Homesy country feel. Quick service. Great food and good prices. Not the type of place for the suit and tie crowd.

My wife and I went there last evening (3/22/14) for a casual dinner. Seating was prompt and our waitress was also prompt. She ordered the Liver and Onions and I ordered the 8 ounce Prime Rib special. Her meal she said was really good and tasty. On the other hand, mine did not live up to the Log Cabins standards.... More

I came here with some friends and it was a nice lunch. The freshly squeezed lemonade is amazing. They may be a little pricy, and you might have to wait a little bit fire your food but it's worth it!

Great food, generous portions. The desserts are amazing. Don't leave without purchasing a loaf of home-made bread.

Several years ago, my wife and I used to go to the Log Cabin a lot. In fact, I'm quite sure that we were among one of it's first customers when it opened. For many years, whenever my kids and grandkids came to visit for the weekend, we would almost always have brunch on Sunday at the "Cabin". However, in... More

We were visiting Devil's Head ski resort on opening weekend not realizing only the cafeteria was open (yuck!) so we found this little gem of a restaurant not too far away. We had a party of 6 and were seated immediately. Cute atmosphere, log cabin with dead animals all over so don't go if that kind of thing bothers you...... More

my wife and i ate here last night after an afternoon hiking at Devil's Lake state park. Great atmosphere. Friendly service.large, satisfying helpings. My wife had the "kettle" of chicken dumpling soup, almost a full quart of soup, which comes with a 6 inch sub bun-like piece of bread. She said despite a little too much onion, it was grest. I... I think this establishment had a good idea as it has a unique and eye catching presentation inside and out. We were seated in an efficient and polite manner. The menu had a good variety of the breakfast food we were looking for. We had a nice young man (Taner) serving our party of four. The food came out at... More
