First off, I own a business. This treatment is nothing close to any way I would treat MY clientele which is where I stem my comparison. My husband and I weren't greeted when we came in which set the tone-frowning faces from ALL employees was evident. After 15 minutes of waiting to order we looked around the 'old', dusty and... More

I have been coming here for awhile food quality has been declining along with the portions. Fish is like eating fish nuggets and I get a order fries and they give you about 7 pieces.

The food was disgusting. I ordered a bowl if soup. It came in a cup. Tasted like it was from a can. The waitress was so bad. Took forever to get our food. Calked her over 2x for bill. Almost left without paying. I walked up to management asked if i could please pay for my bill so we could... More

Friends and I ate at Jen's Alpine Cafe a few weeks ago. It was like stepping back in time to decades ago. We were there on a Friday and two of us had salmon patties with mashed potatoes and creamed peas. My choice, truly comfort food reminding me of that I'd had often at another restaurant in another place over... More

My trips to Baraboo almost always include a stop at Jen's Cafe for breakfast or a soup, sandwich or salad lunch. Good service and great homemade soups and pies at reasonable prices. A nice alternative to fast food restaurants.

The Alpine has great soups! The rest of the food is good also. In addition, they are reasonably priced and have a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Went for breakfast 2 times while in the area. Old school diner. Seemed like you stepped back in time. The food was awesome. All homemade items. Not your typical canned corned beef hash, this was the real deal. Great food, good service, a must go place for breakfast at least. Didn't have time to stop in for a lunch. Highly... More

Being locals, we've been to Jen's several times. Normally we have a good experience, but the last few times there have been issues. Two weeks ago, we went there for Friday night fish fry. For whatever reason, they had closed at 3:00PM that day instead of 8:00PM. My husband and I tried again this evening. The waitress was very unfriendly.... More

A great place for breakfast and lunch. The pancakes including the apple pancakes & pecan pancakes are wonderful. Coffee is great. We eat at Jen's Cafe every time we are in the area. The soups are homemade and we have never had a bad dish. Since every dish is made fresh to order, the wait can get a bit long-but... More
