I ate a late lunch at the Garden Party Cafe on a Monday. The cafe is actually located upstairs from the drug store, and I would compare the atmosphere to a ladies' tea room. I ordered the dill tomato soup to begin, and then had the harvest apple turkey salad. The salad was HUGE, and incredibly filling and tasty. Even... More

For those of you visiting Wisconsin Dells, stop on by the Circus City of Baraboo! They have a quaint square with a few eateries! The Garden Party Cafe is located on the East side of the square, upstairs. There is an elevator available. Great salads, Friday night fish is average and now serving breakfast. Try to be seated by the... More

We went for a Friday night dinner. The square in Baraboo is nice, lots of little shops. A pretty town. The people here were very nice and tried hard. The food was average at best. Clam chowder was good, but hardly warm. Salad bar was average. They did have good hot bacon dressing. Fish fry was ok. Nothing special, definitely... More

This quaint second floor, assessable by elevator, restaurant was a real pleasant, enjoyable, reasonably priced stop for lunch. After my husband and I spent the morning enjoying a walk along the Baraboo River, this was our choice for lunch. When we go on our day trips and visit a town/city for a repeat visit we always choose a new restaurant.... More

My wife and I often go to downtown Baraboo on Saturday mornings to shop at the Grainery or Beckah Kate's, or just get my hair cut at Total Design. When we do we love to go to the Garden Party Cafe for breakfast. A few weeks ago, I met a colleague there to discuss some "church stuff." I recommended the... More

This lovely restaurant & boutique is located directly above the "Corner Drug Store", which is not on the corner, and is accessible by elevator from the sidewalk level (a big plus for my 92 year old mom). Lunch was delicious & the service was great, the view of the Avenue made it even more fun, and the decor was delightful.... More

Very good lunchtime meal at Garden Party Cafe. Beautiful setting, charming decor, good food and service. Ceasar Dressing for the salad would have benefited from some garlic, but salad nicely made. Staff charming but failed to ask if I would like more tea - and I would have. The plus here is the view overlooking the downtown square and their... More

Downtown Baraboo, is an interesting old area to explore, and the Garden Party Cafe is a great place to have lunch. The food is good and the prices are reasonable, but the historic space and the views over the courthouse square are the best features of this place. The cafe is located upstairs in a very old building. The space... More
