I love the atmosphere of the place. I have been here often and the food has never disappointed. The prime rib is excellent, cooked exactly the way I ask. Friday night fish fry is great. I would recommend this place to anyone. Great job guys :-)

Ate there for the second time, this weekend. Love the barn theme, there's a lot of potential. However, there was much disappointment. 1. Heat should have been turned up. 2. Lighting was way too bright. 3a. Service was slow. 3b. Dishes were not cleared as they were done being used (salad plates, for example). 4. Soup crock near the salad... More

There are a number of places in town that are far better than this. Yes, it's an old barn and if that turns you on, well, then that's where you should go, but (for example), just go a half mile further towards Devil's Lake and you have the Farm Kitchen which is a grand old farm house that has been... Visited the Barn in October 2013. The Craft Beer selections were very good. The atmosphere was below average, since you were in a renovated Barn. Not much other than a paint job. Could have done much more. The food was just OK. I do not think its worth the trip unless in the neighborhood. The service was slow due to... More

We just had another great meal at the Barn Restaurant in Baraboo. The food was outstanding. I had a salmon burger which is one of their special recipes with a very delicious sauce. My husband had a broiled fish dinner which was also great. They have a wonderful extensive salad bar which includes their sauteed mushrooms, The atmosphere is very... More

You will find 200 craft beers offered at The Barn. That's a good thing. The various salad dressings did nothing to improve the meager offerings at the salad bar. I ordered the fish fry and was disappointed to find that it was average at best. Add to that, the "baked potato" that came with my meal had been cooked in... More

this place is really cool. We sat on the patio under the weeping willows which was very picturesque, but the inside is really nice too. They have a beer list that is about 8 miles long. The list is so long they keep in in a binder organized in sections. Service was great too.

Ambiance - you will be eating in an old barn that has been converted into a nice rough-hewn restaurant. Service - you will be warmly greeted and shown to a table (can eat inside or outside) and a knowledgeable wait person will shortly arrive to take you order, describe the dishes, make informed recommendations or help in any other way.... Went to the Barn because we had a coupon. Staff was friendly and had a salad bar. We both had to pick out different options on what we wanted to eat because they were out of our first choice. (We had pick different items and they were out of both of them.) Food was average.

The variety of sandwiches is good, and unique for the average central wisconsin restaurant. The homemade soups are tasty and the have a large beer selection. I always stop at the Barn after snowboarding or day tripoing by Devils Lake area.
