Mid-November and no crowds make the Coyote Roadhouse a great experience. A Monday evening and less than 8 diners, we found northern WI comfort in this bar / restaurant. If you're looking for Door County fancy, look in Egg Harbor or Ephriam. The menu is simple, it doubles as your placemat and has about two dozen entrees and apps to... More

Stopped in for lunch while visiting wineries and had the walleye sandwich with great coleslaw. The location was down to home and had a nice atmosphere. The young man that waited on us was very nice and when he found out we were from KC he asked for help with his fantasy football.

You have to try the deep fried onion loaf. It is comfort food at it's best. Their rack of ribs is great, tender and fall off the bone.

This is the place locals go to for a sandwich and soup. You'll also find some locals sitting at the bar, watching sports after work. Very good chicken sandwich; a real chicken breast, good hamburger. Not a fancy place, although it does have some outside seating, with a nice view of Kangaroo Lake.

As frequent visitors to Door County, my wife and I have driven past Coyote Roadhouse numerous times, always saying "we need to stop sometime". Well, we finally stopped, and are glad we did. We were there first on a Sunday morning for a "Bloody Mary" trolly tour (look into this). The Bloody Mary was served with enough garnish to make... More

We went on Friday night and had the AUCE fried grouper. We were told the wait would be about 45 minutes but ended up only being about 20. Our server and the hostess were both so friendly. The warm German potato salad side was very good. Great place for a nice dinner and a beer.

Wear jeans, wiggle your way in to the hostess and give her you name, get a drink and settle at the bar or out on the porch and enjoy the roadhouse atmosphere. People are friendly. Love the ribs, the jambalaya, the German plate, the haystack onions. Not "fine" dining, but always a fine evening.

OK-this looks like a roadhouse both inside & out. Bur just order their ribs and a beer and settle in for some good atmosphere and great ribs! Don't blame me if it's crowded. Those who have been there know why!
