What a Gem in Wardensville!

I was skeptical at first of what we might find in Wardensville but Lost River Brewery was quite impressive. The Beer...We tried a flight and enjoyed all except one. All the beers are light and refreshing. The only one we did not like was the sunflower wheat beer. WV Commons was our favorite... read more

I had a wonderful meal with friends of my wife. The atmosphere was great and the food was good. The Lost River Brewery is upscale but not out of sight. It retains the small town charm of Wardensville, which is a real small town. The service was good as I remember and all 4 of us loved the food. The... More

Decent selection of beers! One on tap has a good hint of smokey Ness which was nice. The food was pretty good to say. Mac and cheese was smoked and ribs are smoked also. Calamari is great also. Stop in and try this place..

Some nice starters and outstanding burgers. If it's cold and miserable outside, try the bison meatloaf. And don't pass up a try at the house speciality mac&cheese. Brewer Adam has moved to Pennsylvania, but the team is working to keep up his excellent offerings.

I was riding the Trans American Trail with a fellow adventure rider, when our eye caught a place for late lunch. As it turn out the Lost River Brewery has some of the best food and beer in the region. Everything was fresh and prepared nicely. Very unassuming place from the outside, but very nice inside. Casual fine dinning. The... More

We stopped at this restaurant for lunch on the way home from a stay at a B&B in Lost River. Like a previous reviewer said, make sure you have the address because the town is small and it's easy to miss. The atmosphere inside is a rustic setting of hardwood floors, B&W white framed photos and lighting around the posts.... More

We were driving from W Va back to D.C. and stopped here for a bite to eat. We were pleased with our experience and would definitely stop again. We had a funny nacho appetizer with black beans, avocado, cheese stacked up to look like a big Oreo cookie - it was fine. The hamburgers are HUGE (they say 10 ounces,... More

Stopped in on a whim after a long drive on a dreary night. Street parking made for easy access to an unassuming facade. Our tired crew was warmly welcomed and immediately seated at a table of our choosing. The decor is warm and charming in a casual yet upscale way. We had eaten a late lunch so we opted just... More

Let me first preface by reiterating my title of my review - if you have visited this place under the previous management, you need to go back and give it another try! So much to say and being as this is the first review for them on TA, I'll give you all I got. We drive 45 minutes from Winchester... More

This is a great find in tiny Wardensville, WV. There's not much here besides gas stations, a gift shop or two and a dubious-looking family diner. Lost River Brewery is the perfect place to relax and refuel after a hike in nearby George Washington Forest. The interior is lovely, dark wood and a couple of tree trunks incorporated into the...
