This place used to be great. Then the guy sold it, moved across the street and does bahn mi now, they are fantastic btw. The new owners are ridiculously bad! The rudest most horrible service ever and the overpriced food sucks.

I have fallen in love with the beef pho soups here - talk about tasty. The broths are delicious and come with a heaping helping of beef, veggies and herbs that you can add yourself according to your own taste. For about $8 you get a large soup w/accompaniments that is enough to have a portion to take home. Don't... More

More entertaining than one might expect, South Charleston around the "Mound". Pho Vinh Long was introduced to husband and I by local friends, and while husband is hardly culinarily adventurous, he's really taken to the place, and has taken others there as well. The menu has explanations and pictures, and the help is sweet and smiling. Tasty food at a... More

We had spring & summer rolls, and Bun. All were very good. We are used to good Vietnamese food, being from DC. They stayed open for us, even though we arrived at 9. Thanks Vi!!!

I travel to South Charleston a lot. I love being able to walk from my hotel to this great spot. I love pho and always have the vegetarian pho. I loom forward to it. I love that I can have dinner and walk through downtown, to the mound or back to the hotel in this nice town. Beer and wine... More

A beer or wine license would have been nice. The waitress' English skills were limited and the menu was not real explanatory for those of us with restricted Vietnamese cusine experiences. I was disappointed there was no lemon grass available that night. But, the food was GREAT and very reasonable, heavy duty silver ware and cloth napkins! It's worth the... More

Obviously the Vietnamese community eats here, we were there and so were many of the community. The Spring Rolls were excellent with just that hint of fresh basil to quicken your taste buds. My husband had Shrimp Fried Rice and he cleaned his plate; I had the seafood Pho and it was excellent. The service was good, our waitress had... More

We love Vietnamese and have experienced restaurants from all over the east coast. During a visit to Charleston we were surprised to find this little gem hidden on d street in south Charleston. Food was very good and the location convenient. We were a little surprised the bill had to be paid at a counter and not the table.

True Vietnamese Pho Restaurant. I live in DC/VA area and we have some really good Pho places - and this place was just as good or better the the Pho places we have here. Spring Rolls were excellent and the big bowl of Pho i got was great as well. What a pleasant surprise to find such a good place... More

When the majority of the patrons in an ethnic restaurant are of that ethnicity, you know you've come to the right place. This storefront restaurant serves excellent Vietnamese food, is fast and friendly, family-run, and the prices are a bargain. There is a wide variety of pho soup-based dishes, but lots of other Vietnamese selections. Spring rolls are excellent. Everything... More
