The food is decent and so is the service. The ambiance is eclectic. However, I would not rate this restaurant a destination location. In trying to remember anything outstanding about my experience in eating at the restaurant nothing really comes to mind.

I have only been there twice, but both times I received fresh food and good service. The prices are a little on the expensive side, especially if you are a college student, and the food selection is a bit fancy and for the people that like that weird, healthy stuff. But they do have salads, burgers and delicious quesadillas. All... More

This will make you wish you lived in a small town. Wonderful food, great people. Also the menu was varied nicely. For the hungry meat eaters and vegans alike

My wife and I went to do some holiday shopping in Shepherdstown and had seen the cafe and thought it looked interesting. The staff was very friendly and the cafe itself was funky. That said it was also rather run down and less than clean. It seemed to serve more locals than students and at lunchtime there was a good... More

Good sandwiches and salads. We loved that you can get any salad as a side with your sandwich. Very friendly service. Loved the sunny dining room!

The food was great, the atmosphere was neat. It was packed so we figured it would be a nice place to eat. It reminded me of a 1960's style college town restaurant which my young adult kids found very fun.

This was described by our B&B hostess as a “college hangout,” so we were not sure what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised. A selection of beers were offered at $3.50 (including a couple 24-ounce beers). We started with the brie appetizer, which was brie melted on French bread with sliced apples. It was good (but would have been even... More

A trip to Shepherdstown always means another opportunity to eat at the Blue Moon Cafe. We love the food and especially love dining outside in the courtyard area. Inside can be a bit noisy, but that means everyone is having a good time. Food is yummy, service is swift and friendly and prices are right. Make the time for a... More

If you're longing to re-live some of your old 'Hippie' College Days experiences, then this is the place for you! The decor and atmosphere, 60's, 60's, 60's, the wait staff (whether young or old) , 60's, 60's, 60's, the food, 60's, 60's, 60's, though with some more modern twists! The Tomato Basil Soup, though I wish was a little more... More
