Everything was great until the end when customer service took a dive.

This restaurant was busy on the Sunday a friend and I visited. The young server looked a bit overwhelmed but did a great job. Everything was on time and presented nicely. She checked on us several times and overall did a great job as the only server on a busy day. The food was also portioned well... read more

The atmosphere is charming. The tea selections are more or less off the wall. I didn't even know the world had this many teas! Not being a tea drinker, I let my wife order. Smart! Jasmine Dragon: Outstanding. Mt wife had the cream of crab soup; delicious. She also had the chicken salad, also delicious. Being on my perennial diet,... More

We enjoyed a quiet lunch with potato soup and strawberry tea. The ambiance was very nice and the food was very good. We really liked the soup for its rich flavor in a thinner than usual cream broth. It is definitely a place we would revisit.

I have taken my sister to tea for several years for her birthday. Her comment on Shaharazade's Tea Room was; "You certainly are full when you leave here! It was wonderful!" We had a delightful time in exotic Arabian surroundings, as the name Shaharazade would suggest. The service was very good and the food was wonderful. I even learned that... More

When you enter Shaharazade you feel as if you entered another world. Very nicely decorated, funky and exotic. The food is well done. I ordered tea for one which includes so many different items there is no way you will leave hungry. It includes quiche, scones, sandwiches, sweet treats and spreads to go along with it. All of these items... More

We went for lunch and I could tell my husband wasn’t really into what he thought might be a “girly” lunch. But the soup of the day was crab soup, so he agreed. I had the French press coffee which was hot and delicious and the strawberry-dark chocolate scone. The scone was served hot with sides of lemon curd, Devonshire... More

We arrived for dinner with high hopes, having read some good reviews and a few bad ones. We were seated in the back of the space, after I expressed concern about our wiggly table near the front of the restaurant. The space is in an old brick townhome on the main street of downtown Shepherdstown, and has original plaster walls... More

We simply stopped in for lunch and had one of the best quality meals anywhere and also got to know a little the owner, Lisa Olney, an extraordinary woman with an extraordinary story of her life! We had lunch and apparently arrived as the crowds had just thinned and enjoyed a quiet, delicious time. I had their spicy black bean... More

It was just by good fate that my wife and I were attracted to Sharazade's in Shepherdstown, West Virginia, a quaint and extraordinarily nice small town not far from Washington, DC. Every dish on the menu authentically redefines the word, exquisite. Our crab quiche for lunch was the best quiche I've ever experienced. Light, flavorful. The crust the stuff of... More
