Liked everything but the background music

The food was terrific and the prices were reasonable for the quality. We shared a Tuscan shrimp appetizer (with white beans), and we both had the house salad. Our entrées were Linguine with artichoke hearts & italian sausage, and Pork Milanese. It all was delicious - even the bread, though served... read more

We had dinner. It was a cold day so we all opted for pasta dishes. Mine was a baked penne dish. It was a great comfort meal. The staff were very professional. The space is nicely decorated, I will return when we come back to Sheperdstown.

About once a month I drive 45 miles one way to eat at The Press Room. I always go for the buttermilk biscuit with sausage, eggs, served with fried potatoes and fruit.

Lots f choices here for dinner, many of which sounded really good. I enjoyed panko encrusted flounder and my wife had scallops - memorable for both of us. Reasonably priced wine list and entrees. They make their bread in-house and it melts in your mouth. Our server was warm, friendly and while unobtrusive she was there with a water or... More

The food was excellent and so was the service. Portions just the right size. The only complaint I have is that there are no low cal entrees, but lots of great salads. It was very crowded with standing room only at the bar, that's why I gave the atmosphere a 4. Overall great place .

This is not our first visit to The Press Room. Each time The dishes have been delicious, well-presented, and served promptly. The atmosphere is welcoming, friendly, and encourages one to relax and enjoy your delicious meal. The sea food dishes I have enjoyed have been among the best I have had. The Italian meals are scrumptious. The restaurant is small... More

We selected The Press Room from several restaurants located on E. and W. German Street. We called for an early evening reservation and we were seated in the library as soon as we arrived. The library was a cozy room with nice decor. Service was friendly and appropriate. Meals were well prepared and presented. Our first course included roasted tomatoes... More

We made a reservation about a week ahead. The place is small, so it is advised. We were there on a Saturday night. We were there over Christmas time and the restaurant is cozy with excellent service. The Italian dishes were superb and we loved how classy the place seems to be run. The wine list was very good too.... More

Loved the atmosphere, but the bartender was swamped and the mixed drinks were mediocre. Only went for cocktails, though, so can't speak to the food.

Best sea bass ever! The four of us had the best sea bass we've ever eaten, right here at the Press Room. A two-inch thick cut of fish cooked to perfection--tender and juicy meat with crispy skin over a bed of spinach surrounded by an orange reduction. Inexpensive but decent wine list. Service was extremely attentive, albeit delivered by a... More
