It is very small, and some of the foods are fancy and pricey, but it is fresh and the cheese fries are really good. They don't have a wide variety of menu items, but they do have a wood fire stove in the kitchen.

We were a party of nine and enjoyed a wonderful lunch. I highly recommend shepherds pie and the shrimp and white cannellini beans appetizer. Service was quick, pleasant and attentive.

On a visit to Sharpsburg, Mrs. Too and I lunched at the Yellow Brick Bank. Fortunately, it was a Sunday, and we were able to park on the Shepherd College campus. Browsing the menu, we were struck by their shepherd's pie with its "secret seasoning". It had been a long time since we actually said "WOW". The seasoning was intriguing,... More

This was something of a return visit, my wife and I having happened upon the Yellow Brick Bank back in 1983, when I believe it was actually yellow. We had thought about the restaurant on a number of occasions but couldn't remember what town it was in. I finally searched it out on Trip Advisor and, since we were passing... More

I ate there Saturday night with a group of 15 relatives and we really put them to the test. I'm afraid I don't remember the server's name, but she was fantastic. Taking care of a group that size is always difficult and she was definitely up to the task. We made several non-standard requests and she handled them all with... More

We had steaks which were good, overdressed salads, OK crab soup, and bland pizza appetizer. Although it was nice enough I think we would not go back on a return trip.

If you're headed for Harpers Ferry, WV, you are not likely to find a reasonable choice for dinner. But if you're willing to drive an additional 15-20 minutes, there is the wonderful Yellow Brick Bank and the gracious owner-maitre d' Mary Low. Extremely congenial environment and, unlike most places, you can actually hear yourself talk. Excellent chef!! Wonderful setting, including... More

Here on a conference recommendation. Hanger Steak was good. Shrimp tempura was drowned by the taste of the oil used. Expected a little more tastewise for a $75 spend. ( one coke, two entrees and one dessert)

The Bank used to be one of the places to go when you wanted some really great food. You can probably still get it sometimes, if you're willing to gamble, and if you're okay with really, really crappy service. I'm not, so I won't go back. I've been 3 times in the last couple of years, and each time is... More

Our party of four ate at the Yellow Brick Bank on a Saturday night. All four of us were extremely pleased with the decor, the staff, the quality and preparation of the meal, etc. What a great evening we had! The Hanger Steak was delicious and perfectly cooked and my wife's choice of Hanger Steak and Crab Cake was beyond... More
