Just diner food, but they do a good job of it and the service is fast and nice. If the menu appeals to you then you will be pleased by the product.

This is the place to get a honest, no frills breakfast, served by locals who know the area and what's going on in the area. Nothing special in terms of the menu, but the food is plain and good and served with a smile. The coffee is hot, the eggs are fresh, and you walk out feeling good about West... More

We were advised that Betty's made a great breakfast and indeed it does! We went there and were treated to great bacon and eggs as well as great coffee. Service was great and friendly!

On the Main Street in the beautiful town of Shepardstown West Virginia this is the local haunt and I can see why. Food is fresh, homemade and delicious! Wait staff friendly and a pleasure to talk to.

My partner and I went to visit my friend who moved from NJ (where we lived and met) to Shepherdstown, WV a few years back. We were in NJ from TX, so took the drive down. The food at Betty's - gravy, chicken fingers, corn, fries, and mashed potatoes were definitely not fresh. It was either right out of a... More

The food is prepared after it's ordered. The place is crowded. Service is a tad slow. But that, it seems to me, is part of the overall experience that is Betty's. Casual. Relaxed. Read the paper at the table. We got exactly what we ordered. It was breakfast. The eggs were good; prepared just the way we wanted. My oatmeal... More

Breakfast available until closing. Only open until 2pm. Wonderful home cooking. Famous for their crab cakes. You can't go wrong with anything you order.

I would stop in for a burger, but not if you are in a hurry. Our meal took 45 minutes for a burger and steak and cheese. Nothing wrong with the food. We used to go to Shepherdstown to eat there, but not anymore. Maybe they changed cooks?

We were kinda pleased to find Bettys, simple place we usually like. Not expecting up market, but expecting good yummy breaky. No such luck. two poached eggs and pancakes. 45 minutes plus wait. My plate on my eggs was so hot (guess where it had been sitting). Said poached eggs had clearly be sitting for a while. Pancakes ok, not... More

We thought we were going to have a real down-home diner experience but after waiting more than 45 minutes for our simple order to emerge from the kitchen (and watching several orders delivered to tables that had been seated well after us), we were no longer feeling warm and fuzzy about this place. Yes, it oozes local diner charm and,... More
