Breakfast like grandma used to make!

If you are looking for real biscuits and gravy or chipped beef, this is the place to come. It's an old fashion no frills diner, not the gentrified version. Staff were friendly and portions were substantial.

If you are looking for hometown, grandma's cooking kinda place..you have found it!!! We both ordered the sausage skillet and we could have ordered one and shared. Huge portion! The wait staff was not as friendly as the atmosphere would suggest. I did notice they were very friendly with patrons they knew. Our food came quickly. I wish we had... More

My family has been going to Betty's since 1998. Their food has always been consistently good. It is a diner, not a gourmet restaurant but I've never had a bad meal and it is reasonably priced (remember you are in Shepherdstown). I took my mom for breakfast this week and we were both happy with our meals.

We heard so many good things about Betty's so we decided to go for lunch. I can't even BEGIN to explain how horrible the experience was! We ordered 3 entrees and left paying nearly $90. My son ordered the grilled chicken sandwich. He received a plate with only a chicken patty on it. When we protested, the waitress simply said,... More

My family came here twice on a recent trip to Harper's Ferry. The staff is friendly & the food is delicious. On both visits we had breakfast, which is served all day, and it was delicious! I rarely see my kids scarf down meals the way they did. On the 1st visit my 3 year old was nearing nap time... More

After long working week and relaxing Friday night at Bavarian Inn, my wife and I wanted solid meal. I ordered Crabake Sandwich at encouragement of my wife and waitress, and my wife ordered the Gurnsuy Hampburger. The Crabcake is nearly all pure crab. But I loved my wife's Gurnsey burger...two patties sandwiched between fresh buns and a middle bun..just right... More

Betty's is a wonderful local diner. Breakfasts are yummy. Children welcome with open arms. The wait is never too long and the staff is funny and friendly.

Betty's serves up down home cooking and some unique offerings. I had the skillet which consisted of potatoes, topped with scrambled eggs, sausage gravy and cheddar cheese, served with a biscuit on the side. It was delicious and 3 days later I'm still full from it. Very reasonable prices. Be patient on a Sunday morning when they are really busy.

Good deal for your money. They use local fresh meat and their sausage patties are excellent. You can get breakfast anytime which is great and hours aren't limited. They have the best crab cakes around. The atmosphere is a typical diner and there's a cute train track that runs around the top of the restaurant. It's a Mom and Pop... More

Good local restaurant! First time to try gravy over pancakes, but both were very good as a combination. We only tried breakfast, but lunch would be good too, homemade. Comfortable atmosphere! Remember cash only!
