I agree with the other reviewers: the latte is excellent, but there's just something a bit unwelcoming about the place. Still worth a visit, though.

I absolutely love this place! The shop is just so artistic and fun and the coffee...so delicious. I don't usually drink much caffeine but everything I have had from here has been absolutely delicious.

If you are visiting shepherdstown and don't stop in at lost dog--You will be missing out. I've been here many times over the years and have never had a bad experience. The atmosphere is incredibly creative and unique, as are the baristas and a majority of the customers who frequent this magical place. You can tell the owner is really... More

Plain coffee was fine, but one of their special concoctions (my wife ordered it, I do not believe that coffee needs improvement) was undrinkable. The pastries were stale and tasteless.

Loved the ambiance and unique drink menu selections and artwork. Iced coffee and chai tea were outstanding!

The coffee was exceptional but the surroundings were a little grubby, cracked mugs, etc. The blueberry pie was disappointing. .

Liked the coffee. Liked the innovative drinks. Liked that it's not Starsuks. Did not like the volume level of the music. Did not like the time it takes to read what drinks are available. Sensory overload.

We stopped in for coffee on a Saturday morning before we started our walking tour of the town. Seemed to be a local coffee stop for the towns people. Coffee good and the place was charming.

On a recent overnight to Shepherdstown for a quick break, we stopped for tea and coffee and a delicious brownie at the Lost Dog. To my delight, the iced chai was the best my husband had ever had, and my coffee was out of this world. The brownie was moist and very chocolaty. I also purchased the Mexican (Chiapas) fair... More

Amazing choice of coffee and tea all carefully made. The décor is fascinating, plenty to look at whilst you wait. Managed to resist the yummy-looking home baked goodies ..... Worth a visit if you are in the area.
