Overpriced, slow service "French" cuisine (sort of) + Chatty Cathy in an apron.....not worth the time or money. Won't go back. There are much better places to go in Shepherdstown

At first I was nervous because the bartender was also the sole waitress for a small dining room consisting of 8 square tables. I thought, Oh Oh, service will be lousy. But, to my amazement, she handles it all quite fabulously and the service was great. Alot (over 30) of wine choices by the glass and prices were most fair.... More

My husband and I drove out west this past weekend and landed in the quaint and special town of Shepardsatown, W.VA. We stopped for lunch on the main street at a perfectly lovely French bistro. We had a table by the window and enjoyed delicious French Onion Soup, a glass of sparkling white wine and a Crepe with a small... More

My husband and I recently had a great lunch at Bistro 112 while visiting Shepherdstown. Excellent food served in a very nice setting, both inside and out. It was a bit too cold for us to sit outside that day, but definitely would be perfect on a warmer day. The staff was very welcoming and gave great suggestions for food... More

One of our favorites! Good wine selection and menus and always with some interesting specials. Nice, cosy, warm bistro. A great place for lunch or dinner.

My husband and I both had salmon dishes, though different ones. The fish was done to perfection. The wait staff was extremely friendly. The atmosphere was cozy and casual but with interesting and sophisticated cuisine.

The seasonal menu has many French highlights. Eight people loved every appetizer and entree, including beef, lamb, duck, and an osso bucco special. Still raving about the creme brulee!

This place was rated #6 on trip advisor and now we know why. I can say that the atmosphere is good and the service was good. We did have a pretty good soup and the house made pate was great. The entrees were just ok. I had the duck and in my opinion it was cut too thick and it... More

So sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your entrees. From the read of your review it sounds as if you enjoyed the first and last courses. But of course the entree is so important to the whole dining experience. You did select the duck that is usually tender, if cooked rare, and the chicken which is plentiful and... More

Went on the recommendation of others at our Sharpsburg (MD) B&B. Started with Pate du Campagne (country style pate). Rich and tasty with accompanying peach chutney. Both had the steak with peppercorn sauce and pommes frites, which were delightful! Steak well cooked, sauce beautifully done. A nice French Bordeaux was the perfect wine to go with both dishes. Nice little... More
