A Real Gem

Real southern Italian home cooking. Princeton is full of boring chain restaurants and we wanted to find something local. We felt really lucky to find Nonna's. Especially after trying the food. Small, located in a home with restricted hours so be sure it's open. Home made Italian, often served by the owner. Not flashy but good fish home small town cooking. A good change of pace from ho hum chains

We just had a lovely dinner at Nonna's! A really lovely Italian dinner, with Chianti wine, and live music! I had their "Pasta Martha", their original pasta dish with an Alfredo cream and cheese sauce with sausage, which was delicious, and hubs had their pasta with Italian sausage, which he enjoyed, as well. We truly enjoyed the live guitar music... More

Relatively small, only six tables. I had chicken parmesan, and the marinara was great - a little more spice/kick than a regular marinara, but I loved it. And the Italian Cream cake was superb. One of the best deserts I have ever had. If we are ever nearby again, we will be stopping in.

Small menu but that's to be expected in little restaurant. Live music on Friday & Saturday. Friendly and attentive staff.

the use dry herbs and spices, not even fresh garlic. nothing worse than a glumpy gravy (think breakfast sausage gravy, not "gravy") that's is suppose to be alfredo with a bottle of garlic powder in it. And I love garlic...fresh garlic that is...all seafood is frozen. but, what could you really expect from that area?

I have rarely gone wrong with a Tripadvisor review. Nonna's was a real disappointment, I ordered the lasagne based on a TA review. Mine had exactly 4 bites of pasta with just lots of sauce and mozarella cheese with little meat. Cottage cheese instead of ricotta in an Italian restaurant. My husband wanted shrimp, they had none, so he selected... More

A wonderful small old house, fixed up to be a restaurant. The night we went there was live music. The prices were a little high, but the value is there salad and bread came with the meal. Portion sizes were a bit on the small size.

We stopped in Princeton W.V. On our way to South Carolina. We had spent the day driving down and stopping for bites at all the typical fast food spots. We saw that Nonna's was recommended on Tripadvisor and we hoped and prayed that it would not be another "fast food style" meal. We were not disappointed. We had a wonderful,... More

This restaurant is a little unusual in that it is in a house and only has about 10 tables. We were a party of 8 skiing in the area and called ahead. They said they could seat us, no problem. The food was absolutely terrific. We tried the bruschetta, salads, lasagna, and several of the other pasta dishes including the... More
