im not normally a chain diner but this place was great fun, friendly staff and good food would recommend to all
I frequent Black Bear often, they have a variety of options for carnivores and vegetarians alike. I love the Good Calypso and they've got some good chips and queso... not to mention their variety of local beers and entertainment!
I'm a long-time vegetarian who often has trouble finding options at many restaurants in West Virginia these days. I absolutely love that there are so many choices on the menu for me at Black Bear. I was just there for lunch and had the Mr. Teri Yaki burrito with tofu and it was fantastic. Highly recommend!
This place is great! Just went for lunch. Had the vegetarian chili and I know I could get this past my husband who is definitely NOT a vegetarian. Also had the Rail Trail big thing and the flavors were all perfect together. It is 5am and I am wondering if it is acceptable to go get the rest of it... More
I enjoy Black Bear for a casual night with friends. They have plenty of vegan and vegetarian options, a variety of ever changing salsa flavors and the food is always fresh. I usually choose the "build your own burrito" option and it is served with your choice of salsa, a great slaw and chips. It is more than I can... More
This is a cheap eats college joint, with lots of different types of burritos. If you look at food only as fuel, this is the place. All the burritos taste about the same--a big tasteless wad of soft flour tortilla. If you're looking for Mexican cuisine, try elsewhere. Service is of the "self" variety. However they do have live performers... More
Awesome food, lots of beer on tap to choose from, and a great place to take the kids or hang out with friends. They often offer live music on the weekends. One of our favorites.
Not a typical restaurant offering. Black Bear has everything from a vegan burrito to a jamaican jerk chicken burrito. Great Guac. This is not a sit down and have your order taken but rather order at the counter, collect a number and the food will be brought over.
We stopped by for lunch after taking a tour of WVU. My husband and I each ordered a menu item and my son built his own. We all were pleased. The salsa and warm chips were delicious while we waited for our meal.
Great food with a not so average twist. Relaxed, good service and just a nice place to get good food. Well worth the money. Fun place.
