It is Okay

This is a family business and they are extremely friendly. We really enjoyed our visit but we did not chose well. We had the 6 cheese pockets special with chicken. It was light as the owner said but it was not particularly flavorful. The other entree was the polo alla siciliano. We thought... read more

There are quite a few good reviews of this place but I don't get it. My family and I ate there recently in an attempt to eat somewhere other than the typical chains located around Martinsburg. Don't get me wrong, the food was delicious but not really worth the price considering the interior of the place looks like an old... More

The food quality was average to good. Some of the dishes like Pasta a "La Carbonara" was more American style than italian. The sweet peas are not really part of this dish. The Rose sauce was very flavorful. The server was very friendly and helpful. Service was fast compared to other places.

Food excellent as always however service is slow. Priced reasonably and food is always fresh and tasty If you're visiting it's definitely worth the effort and money to eat here

This was a nice restaurant, but I wasn't real excited with the taste of the Italian sauce on my pasta. It seemed very bland. The portions were very large and the salad was nice. My husband had lasagna and thought it was also bland.

I first found La Trattoria while 'commuting' from Maine to Florida last October. It was 8PM or so and I literally stumbled in the door. I had a great meal, (perfect pasta) perhaps rivaling some I've had in Italy, and the personal service was special. So, I figured maybe I caught them on a good night. After all, it's somewhere... I spent two nights in the motel across the street and the fact that La Trattoria gives a 10% discount to motel clients had some bearing - but just walking over had some too. But the family owned, family receipe restaurant is wonderful in its own right. My server was Taylor, a bright young lady who was most attentive. I... More

I had dinner at La Trattoria last night and was delighted with the experience. I had the pasta bolognese, my friend had cheese manicotti, and her son had spaghetti. I realized it must have been good when I looked around and noticed that we had each eaten every bit of food from our plates! Even more important perhaps was the... More

Best Italian food in the area! Service is always friendly and prompt. Food is served piping hot, and the portions are generous. Our favorites are the Chicken Parmesan, Pasta Di La Casa. (fetttucine and sausage in their delicious "pink" sauce) and the Tiramisu for dessert. Do not pass up this gem to go to the Italian "chain" restaurant in town.
