This place is great. Great food (prepared on the spot with all local ingredients), great wine, great beer, great staff, cool artsy vibe and ambiance.
You'll still see the name Clingman's on the window because they honor the previous owner and the story is on the menu. Fresh food, salads to die for, nice wines and beer, wonderful pasta (I loved the white clam and spaghetti) desserts by the Crazy Baker (though my husband says the Coconut Cake is a little dry), what's not to... The food was excellent and the wait staff were friendly and efficient. This restaurant also has some significance within the town of Lewisburg. It was once "Klingman's Market" and they have kept some of the elements of its former incarnation. I have eaten both with a youngish child and with friends. Both times they were superb.
Atmosphere, food and service is casual and friendly. A little yuppy-oriented (which is fine with me), maybe because the town is a little artsy-fartsy, or because of the med school customers. I didn't think it was overpriced at all - but its quality food and I'm used to city prices.
LOVE to eat here! Great, fresh food served up with a smile! Love the "Trust Me" salad and the fettuccine with sausage. Enjoyable atmosphere with an attention to detail and homemade desserts.
I love this restaurant! It has a great atmosphere and good service! They have a salad with goat cheese, oats, tomatoes, etc. with homemade dressing that is fabulous! They try to use local ingredients where possible. My only complaint is that they are pretty pricey for the food. But, I'd rather pay their prices and keep my money local than... More
Unexpected slow food cafe with warm ambience in a small town. Great hot chocolate with homemade marshmallows. It was very busy when we were here today and service was sloooow...so if you are looking for a quick interstate-side stop, you'd be better off. At Applebees..but if you want atmosphere, slow good food.. this is the place. My salad was vegetarian... More
We decided to eat here based on TripAdvisor reviews but I have to say I was a little disappointed. It was a nice cafe with a homemade, friendly vibe - it's big on organic food, which may explain why prices are higher than normal. Or perhaps this is the case across Lewisburg - if it's an upmarket, touristy town then... More
I recently had dinner here for the 3rd or 4th time, and have had lunch here the same number of times. We traveled through this area to visit our son who was at school in VA. Much of the food is locally sourced. The staff is friendly and welcoming. And my husband and I have never had anything here but... More
Very current decor with traditional height and bar height tables from which to choose. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals, and none of the chicken dishes were the slightest bit overcooked or dry - something hard to do with so many options. I particularly enjoyed my Argentinian Grilled Chicken Chimichurri. The Spinach Nested Chicken and the Curried Chicken were great hits... More
