Trying to find reasonably priced good restaurants while staying at Greenbrier during our gold trip, we found this gem. Casually strolled over after golf and surprised to see a 30 min wait in this remote location. Sat outside munching on their nice chocolate selection until they seated us. Once inside, we ordered appetizer platters and as we are tasting those... More

When I asked my customer where to go for a nice meal in Lewisburg, he quickly suggested Food and Friends. I am glad I took his advice because I had a great meal there. I ordered the Mediterranean Pasta with salmon. It was excellent with lots of veggies and the fish was cooked properly (many places overcook). They served a... More

I ate here with some friends while we were visiting the Greenbrier. It was a welcome change from the food choices at the Greenbrier. My friends had the surf and turf and loved it. I had a chicken dish that was made with honey, but I can't remember what is was called. It wasn't very memorable. The appetizers are good,... More

My husband thoroughly enjoyed his "Old Blue Eyes" steak with garlic butter and mushrooms at Food & Friends. The steak was actually prepared rare just as he requested. Rather than a salad, he choose the red pepper bisque which was also good. I had the steak salad with mushrooms and new potatoes. In addition to mixed salad greens, the salad... More

Lewisburg is a small, picturesque town nestled in the hills of the Greenbrier Valley. It boasts of art galleries, antique shops, live theatre, upscale and family-oriented restaurants, and a farmer's market. But the highlight of our stay was the restaurant Food & Friends. We went for lunch, and were so impressed, we went back for dinner. When every seat in... More

My wife and I were seated quickly shortly before 6 p.m. last evening even though we did not have a reservation. The restaurant was already full except for our one booth! We ordered perfectly prepared 6 oz. filet mignons with baked potato and the accompanying vegetable: yellow and green squash al dente. First, we were delighted to savor fresh bread... More

While working in Lewisburg recently I stopped for lunch at Food & Friends. What a wonderful hometown atmosphere! The ladies at the counter treat all who enter like a long time friend. Soup and sandwich choices abound with sandwiches thick enough to make Dagwood Bumstead happy! Try the roast beef on toasted wheat with all the trimmings and a sweet... More

I've been here a few times and the food is always great! The staff is also friendly. If you get a chance to dine here, try the Steak Oscar!

While staying nearby at the Greenbrier, we decided to venture over to Lewisburg to check out the shops and grab dinner. We liked the casual dining look of Food & Friends as we passed by and decided to give it a try. I got the bourbon salmon and my husband got the ribs - both were very good. Dinner came... More
