Lovely place for coffee and light vegetarian fare

The Wild Bean makes excellent coffee and has a pleasant atmosphere. The shop is nicely spacious and there is no sense of being hurried along. A few local items are for sale--music CDs, a bit of jewelry and pottery, a few antiques, a bit of art, and all at very reasonable prices. Delightful bakery... read more

We drop into Wild Bean frequently, but lately we have been going to the Greenbrier Valley Baking Company just around the corner. We like a place where we can carry on a conversation without straining to be heard over the noise off loud, pulsating, non melodious music. The acoustics in Wild Bean are not good so the conversations of other... More

We visited The Wild Bean for a cold drink after shopping on a warm afternoon. The Bean reminded me of an old time general store - long and narrow building, high ceilings and wooden floors. The drinks and other food choices are displayed on a large chalk boards. We tried the Iced Latte and Mochas and chose to sit at... More

The Barista listen to what I wanted and made it to perfection. I ordered a dark chocolate/orange latte and it was the best. Their peanut butter cookies are very good. Love the inside space and nooks. Don't miss this coffee shop if in the area.

While staying nearby, we were looking for an alternative to our hotel breakfast and walked to this spot. The coffee/latte was great. I had the granola with yogurt and fresh fruit--banana, mango, and strawberry. Many were using their computers (complementary wifi available). Great morning spot!

This is just one more reason that Lewisburg was rated "coolest small town". You will certainly have an opportunity to chose what ever type of coffee you enjoy here. There is a nice choice of pastries, but they are not as complete as the choices of coffees.

Love the atmosphere. Great place to hang out with coffee and a pastry. The soups and sandwiches are excellent and healthy. Also, enjoy the availability of wireless.

Passing thru on the freeway, I saw a sign that said "#1 Cool, Small Town" so I got off on the exit. It occurred to me that they could not possibly be a cool town without a great coffee shop, which is what was on mind for about the previous hour...along with the desperate need for a "pit stop". Google... More

The coffee and hot cider were excellent and the service was informal, friendly, and efficient. We enjoyed the chance to sit in the front window and enjoy the Lewisburg street scene.
