The food is really good. They have some very interesting appetizers. Stuffed mushrooms were tasty. Good drinks and friendly service.
This is a buffet place. If you like those, you'll probably like this. It's not at all bad, but also nothing wonderful. There is a very nice view from the patio, if the weather is nice enough to sit outside. (It was raining a bit when we were there.) The staff is friendly. It was included in our travel package,... Gourmet food, WV ambience , and breathtaking sunsets. A dining experience for all your senses. From the natural setting to the upscale menu and the friendly waitstaff, you enjoy a memorable evening.
The server was a young, intelligent, articulate guy. The food was good; the view was great--we looked down on the river far below; the sun was shining; the temperature was perfect as we sat outside on the spacious deck to eat. What's not to like.?
My husband and I were married at Adventures on the Gorge Sept 14th, our dinner was catered by Smokey's on the Gorge. The food was AMAZING, we had beef, chicken, pork tenderloin, salmon and pasta. Our guests raved about all the food selections, especially the salmon. Good food was a really important aspect of our wedding to us, as it... More
We spent the day rafting and wanted to have a nice sit down meal. The food was okay but not worth the price. The service was very poor. Our waitress acted like she didn't want to work. I have no problem spending money on a nice meal. It wasnt worth the cost.
We ate breakfast and dinner here ever day on our stay @ AOTG. The view was awesome, the food was clean, well prepared, nicely presented, and never ending. The service was exceptional. There was always a smile and a genuine sense of caring here. Nicely done people!
We have rafted w AOTG for the last 4 yrs. After rafting all day, we shower up on-site & head to Smokeys. It's not cheap ($28 pp, kids 11-14 $15; under 10 free), but very convenient & offers a great selection for everyone in our group. Salad bar, bread, couple of entrees to choose plus sides. Dessert bar. The night... More
Im usally wary of buffett style, but this place does it right! Very creative menu items that change nightly and are all fresh made from scratch, and the breakfast is killer too. Sitting by the open window looking down on the river that we had just rafted eating fabulous food was one of the best experiences.
We ate here for breakfast and dinner the day of our rafting trip. Breakfast options were good with fruit and yogurt, bagels, French toast and eggs, sausage and bacon available. Buffet style means you won't go hungry. For dinner, the selection was more ordinary, with pasta and meatballs and lovely salad as well as other options I forgot about. Several... More
