We went to Smokey's as part of a New River rafting package deal. There were other restaurant choices as well but we had a good breakfast experience there and went back for dinner. The rustic atmosphere was just what we wanted with a terrific view of the New River Gorge while we dined. We had both of our meals buffet... More

Fabulous open air restaurant with a beautiful view of the Gorge. The buffet was wonderful. If you have picky kids this may not be the place for you as the choices on the buffet were more adult oriented. Ex: Steak Diane, Orange Salmon, Chicken Cacciatore, mushroom spinach scalloped potatoes. Good salad bar and dessert options as well. Nice night out... More

The buffet was awesome. Lots of variety for Beef, Pork and Salmon. The salad bar and desserts were excellent.

This is absolutely a diamond in the rough. What a fantastic gourmet dinner that was prepared. The staff are attentive and friendly. The food is absolutely out of this world and a great price. The desserts are to de for as cat not be passed up. Then the beautiful setting is picturesque. This is a must for anyone visiting the... More

When in the New River Gorge and Gauley River areas this will be a good option for dinner. I have dined here several times. There are several pros and cons of this buffet. Overall, I can't say that it is worth the 30 dollar price tag, but you may have to try it to decide for yourself. The PROS: Delicious... More

My family recently held a wedding at this rustic but comfortable venue overlooking the New River Gorge. Although principally guests, we felt that the service was personal and unobtrusive. The meal was served buffet-style and was beautifully presented. That does not say enough, however, about the variety and quality of the food. From salad bar through meat, seafood, starches, and... I've eaten here many times over the years and, historically, it was delish. I've recommended this place many times to folks visiting the area. The last couple times, not so much. Our waitress was fabulous. The food, however, just OK and certainly no deal for a $28.99 buffet. $42 for buffet, one beer, tax and tip. The salad bar has... More

The food is gourmet, made with pieces of West Virginia. Setting in the middle of the mountains & an overlook ti die for. A little pricey, but food is amazing.

Husband, daughter and I had dinner here after an afternoon of hiking. They have dinner (and breakfast) buffet, but since it was early in the season, plus a week-night and not many people were there, they do a "family-style" buffet. They brought out a huge platter from the kitchen of everything on the buffet and set it on our table.... More

The food is really good. They have some very interesting appetizers. Stuffed mushrooms were tasty. Good drinks and friendly service.
