My wife and I went to Country Thai restaurant one evening before they closed. The selection of food on their serving bar was very limited because it was close to closing I suppose. I did not like some of the items I selected, but liked the Thai dumplings and a couple of other things. I went back and asked for... More

Compared to thai in big cities; the food was average. However, the service was excellent! The owner went out of her way to ensure we enjoyed our food and kept our drinks full. If you want options for dinner other than bar food, BBQ or pizza; check this place out.

My family went to the Thai Restaurant for something different. The folks there are very nice and hospitable. The food was very good and there were great portions. You can select the dishes that you wish to try. They have fantastic prices for their food, very affordable!! I'll go back for sure!!

The $12.99 dinner combo meal gave us a sample of 6+ entrees, soup, soda/water and a serious amount of leftovers (that we will ACTUALLY EAT). Each dish was delicious and provided the perfect balance of spice and flavor. The kitchen and staff were wonderfully friendly. We are definitely adding this gem of an establishment to our Fayetteville food roster.

Decent Thai. It was buffet style which I didn't love. Very spicy curry dishes. Pad thai was okay ut my kids loved it. The people who worked there were nice and food was good.

I almost missed this place in the rush to get to the river but caught it on the way back & loved it....a truly hidden gem of a place with a true spin on 'country' Thai!

I love Thai food, so it was a Godsend to find Country Thai so close to my home. Just outside of small town Fayetteville, WV, the restaurant is (as the name says) in the country, near the New River Gorge Bridge. There is an off-the-street parking lot, and I had no trouble getting my motorcycle in and out. The dining... More

My son is a city dweller who loves Thai food, so he was really anxious to try this place. I have had a gastric bypass, so I can only eat small portions at any sitting. My son is a big strong man who works out every day, and was ravenous when he got there. (We had been to a wake... More

You would never expect to find this type of cuisine in this area, or at least I was surprised. The food is quite good. Its a little pricey I think, but worth it for the freshness and uniqueness. We were in an out quickly too, since the food is already cooked and you just pick what you want, kind of... More

Co-owner Gem is from Tailand. With the assistance of her entrepreneur husband Bill, they offer excellence in Taiwanese cooking. Meals are fire heated in stainless steel containers, and each diner selects the dishes they wish to eat from a choice of 8-10, and are heaped onto styrofoam plates which the diner carries to his or her table. The food is... More
