Good food and price

I live in ohio but I am a native of Huntington and try to visit Jim's every time I visit. I often eat the same thing, spaghetti, cole slaw, rolls and iced tea, occasionally fish. Always seated quickly, waited on and served quickly. The prices are very good! Although the rolls are no longer... read more

We like the variety of foods served at Jim's Steak & Spaghetti House. The Spaghetti is especially good, and you receive an ample portion when you order. But the highlight of any meal is the dessert, especially the chocolate pie.

Service is good. The folks working there have been there for a long time and they seem to enjoy their job. The entire environment is like it was since the restaurant opened in 1944. The food is still good but I think it isn't as good as it was years ago. Maybe changes in receipts, I don't know but some... More

Been eating here since I was a kid and it was good in the 80's and it's still good today in 2015. If you love Spaghetti get the XL you can't stop eating it. Jims sauce is something special and you can even buy a quart to take home. Great service and Great food this place is hard to beat.... More

Jim's is actually a diner with the starched white uniforms and all. Many people go for the fish and vegetables, but I can't get past the spaghetti. The meat sauce is unlike any other. There have been many attempts at duplicating the sauce, but to no avail. The cole slaw is also delicious, and the desserts are good. They serve... More

This is like time travel, but not to the good old days. There is no love for food in this place, the salad was floating in an unidentifiable white vinegar puddle made barely edible with sugar. The fried haddock was overcooked, once it came out of a truly scary batter, in which I again tasted something sugary. Green beans, you... More

Let me start by saying never been there for dinner and nor will I ever again. Went on Saturday night, waited 25 minutes, were seated w/out menus. Waitress was upset when we asked for menus. Were given the salads (which I guess they were running out of) because they were so small. Waitress never made eye contact and just passed... More

I love going to Jim's. I love their oil and vinegar salad dressing, amazing fish sandwich with equally amazing tartar sauce and coleslaw on the sandwich. It's so big so I take half this fish off, eat my sandwich then have more fish left to eat. I love their spaghetti too. Shaved ice is my favorite with my soda and... More

This family-owned restaurant has been around Huntington for a very long time. Lots of locals and tourists made for a crowd. Spaghetti was pretty good, rolls were yummy and the pie was great. The owner came around to greet us. Nice touch.

Jim's is a go-to spot for my family when we're in Huntington. There is always good food, great service, friendly people, and the prices are just right.
