Go for the nostalgia and hospitality.

The place felt so old school and down home that I expected my grandma to come out of the kitchen to serve my food. All the nostalgia quickly diminished once I saw their menu. $4.75 for a grilled cheese. Almost $9 for a club sandwich. I had the chicken noodle soup. And for $6, I expected a... read more

This place was featured on Diners, drive-ins and dives and had great reviews. We found this place because of the show and it met the hype, great food and service. I will go back!

This hurts me to say because the owners are so nice but the food has really gone down hill. I had Baked Steak that was either old or so over-cooked it was actually hard on one half. The mashed potatoes were just awful ( how do you make MP uneatable?) and the green beans taste as if they were cooked... More

family owned and staffed, food is always very good, service polite , friendly and timely, interesting photo history of huntington on the walls, a real credit to the antique district and the city.

Best kept secret in huntington. Just a local restaurant ran by a family but great food and hospitality. Would recommend checking it out.

This place is an older building but easy to get to from the interstate and the owners, who were all present when we were there, obviously care about great home cooking and quality service. While there we found out it has also been featured on Diner Drive-In's and Dives -- and we can see why. We had two of the... More

Three of us had the roast beef on toast. I got a side salad with mine. This salad had a lot of different toppings...not just lettuce and tomato. The price was very reasonable. The service was great also. The server was not dressed up but the attention to detail was there. If you have a entertainment coupon book use the... More

I have lived within 20-25 miles from Central City Cafe all my life but had never stopped there . My husband and I were on a drive and I suggested to eat there because I had watched an episode of Dinners, Drive-ins , and Dives with this restaurant on it. I had a BBQ beef sandwich and my husband had... More
