Great food with excellent waitstaff. Everyone is nothing but nice and attentive to their customers. The food is wonderful and priced very well. One of the best burgers I've ever had is their polky burger. Ice-cream desserts and shakes are to die for. My wife loves their quesadilla and chips. Stop by whenever I get a chance!

My grandmother was born and raised in Fairmont. We took a day trip so she could show us around, and The Poky Dot was where she wanted to stop and eat. It was really busy at lunch time on a Sunday. I had a cheeseburger wrap, and it was ok. My daughter loved her meal that was delivered in a... More

We have made the Poky Dot a frequent stop on our football trips to Morgantown. This last trip we even picked a hotel that was close by so we could walk to the restaurant for early Sunday breakfast. First I have to say we had no problems with the service which was friendly, courteous, and prompt. We had a party... More

Went on Sunday for brunch. We were seated in the back. We were given menus and drink order was taken. After 20 min we did not have a drink or our order taken. Meanwhile two other couples came and got service. Table next to us was attended to by the waitress three times while we sat bored and hungry. We... More

Great place to eat when visiting WVU. Quirky, fun atmosphere. Friendly staff. Breakfast was very good and you definitely got a lot for your money.

As soon as you drive in and see the diner, you know you will be in for a good experience. Poky Dot is very bright and colorful, with decorations that rotate through the seasons. I have visited a couple of times and have been satisfied with my food every time. The burger is large (half pound) and cooked to perfection... More

Poky Dot was rated top diner in Morgantown Magazine and I was anxious to try it even though it's 30 miles from my home. It was worth the trip and I will look forward to eating there again. Chocolate milkshake didn't disappoint--thick, creamy and delicious. Pulled pork sandwich was flavorful.

Spinach omelet and a great cup of Joe in a fun atmosphere! The wait staff were all so friendly. If you are in the area it is a must! It was fun to see patrons being served their crazy breakfast on a garbage can lid!

The 2013 Polk Dots is not the 1960's Polka Dots! OK, maybe the 2013 version is better (or maybe not!) We recall a HOT sausage sandwich on a hamburger bun and a Coke for $1.25! Today's sausage sandwich is a wimp by comparison. The 2013 Polk Dots is kinda like a local Friches, and we expect numerous Fairmont State students... More
