It feels like dining in their living room. On a Tuesday, there were very few people, a quiet evening. The food was really good, yet not out of this world. The fried plantains appetizer was freshly prepared and really special. Service was effective and friendly. Good local pale ale on draft.

Wonderful find in Elkins! Came here for lunch with my Mother. We both had nice lunch portions. What a surprise to find Authentic Latin cuisine here!

Their outdoor seating area is really nice in the summer and even in the fall before it gets too cool. Live music is a frequent thing in the back where they keep the bar, and the casual dining room in the front is really nice. It's a Venezuelan restaurant and the menu offers authentic options. There's something for everyone though.... More

We had supper here in late July for the sole reason that we read the reviews on Trip Advisor. We probably never would have found it, but we are so glad we did! It's housed in an old house with extremely friendly and helpful staff. We had never had Venezuelan food before, and the waitress told us the Dinner Capahapa... More

We loved this restaurant. We have lived in Venezuela and were craving the Arepas. It's in a very quaint house with great decor. We highly recommend this place.

Unusual food. Guess that's why I didn't care much for it. Reserved a table, but a group of guests sat themselves at it, so we were put in the back room, which is the bar. The entertainment was not very good and made it hard to talk with friends. The chef was not there that day, so limited selection.

We were not expecting to find a somewhat exotic restaurant in the mountains of West Virginia, but this one was a pleasant surprise. We ordered pork and chicken arepas and empanadas and enjoyed both of them. We would share a meal if we went back as neither of us could finish the meal. We had started it with chips and... More

I enjoyed the surf and turf chapacha I got here. It had interesting and good flavors, especially when using the salsas they serve it with. They also have a good beer selection.

Came here to visit for Augusta and ate at el gran sabor. BEST FOOD I HAVE EVER ATE! Everything around was fabulous to the food, drinks, wait staff, and atmosphere. They also have live music on Wednesdays and Fridays. Definitely recommend this to anyone in the area.

For years, Elkins has been the traffic bottleneck we had to get through in order to get to either Snowshoe or points north (Canaan Valley, Seneca Rocks, Spruce Knob, etc.) Now, we have a reason to stop. Not only can we get delicious Venezuelan cuisine, but they carry beers from the newly opened Big Timber Brewery. The service was friendly,... More
