We arrived on a busy Sunday morning. We had to wait a couple of minutes for a table but it was certainly worth the wait. The food and service were excellent. All staff were really friendly. The blackberry pancakes were amazing. We would definately recommend.

We just weren't up to another heavy meal in the Hickory Room at Canaan Valley Resort, so we drove about a mile to get breakfast at The Breakfast Nook. So glad we did! The restaurant is small, the atmosphere is homey, and the food is simple and well-prepared. Our portions were a good size, neither overwhelming nor skimpy, and the... More

Came to Canaan state Park for State HOG rally and did not want same commercial breakfast. Found these reviews and gave its try. The young girls are learning a great lesson in life. The food was fresh and hot and plentiful. Anyone wanting a home cooked meal for breakfast eat here. You will get a great meal and a young... More

My wife and I stopped here for breakfast prior to skiing at Canaan Valley. We absolutely loved this little restaurant. Very simple home style menu. I had blueberry pancakes with sausage and my wife had biscuits and gravy. The portions were large and the food was great.

Actually on 32 at the entrance to Land of Canaan Resort. A nice alternative to the Canaan Valley Resort Hickory Room breakfast.

Stopped in Christmas Eve morning 2013 and am glad we did. Great Western omelet, hash browns and home made biscuits. The omelet was large and had fresh vegetables and ham. The biscuits were large and very moist. The hash brown were a little on the dry side but ok just the same. The Breakfast Nook is conveniently located on Route... More

Visited the Canaan area a few weeks ago and made sure this was one place we visited for breakfast. Had previously read the reviews, and we were not disappointed. We arrived about 11:30 after calling to verify they were open until noon. It was a Saturday morning, and they weren't busy. A few tables were finishing as we were seated.... More

Basic breakfast with good bacon and so so coffee. Fast service, but not real friendly. They kinda rushed you out after your meal. Waffles and Bacon are a winner. Only open until 11am. Way better than Good Morning Breakfast. Small dinning area so get their early. Small menu.

Our enjoyed this restaurant that was recommended by the locals. We enjoyed the Blueberry Pancakes, Buttermilk Pancakes, French Toast, Local Bacon, Farm Fresh Eggs, Local Sausage, and The Big G of 2 Large Biscuits & Gravy. The Extreme Good Prices is a surprize to anyone that stops by up to 11am or 12 noon depending on the time of year.... More
