Good place.

Stopped here because we could not find Piccolo's. Had full breakfast menu. Ordered blueberry pancakes which were great. They have really good peppered bacon and good coffee. Very friendly staff. We had high expectations after reading a number of reviews. We found the food very ordinary, the service was okay, but clearly the staff needs more training. The tables were not very clean, the rug needs replacing, and the place needs some serious attention to the outside as well as the entrance way. We embraced their concept of helping youths... More

The server was polite and did a good job. Good menu selections. My husband had oatmeal with blueberries; while I had scrambled eggs, rye toast, and bacon. Very good. This was a nice place to come for a good breakfast at an inexpensive price. The young ladies who work there are in a work program called Transitions. They seemed to... More

The employees at this restaurant were very polite and the service was very good and spot on! The food was also excellent! Only complaint is that there was a man...Mark, which I assume to be a manager of sort. He was very rude and belittling to an employee. The employees here are in a work program of sort so I... More

Breakfast here was basic and inexpensive, with the menu featuring pancakes, waffles, omelets, and breakfast combos (eggs, meat, toast). Blueberry pancakes were fluffy and soft, and bacon was thick-cut and peppered. If I could make a recommendation to the joint, I'd ask that they improve a few items. My husband's waffle was delivered to him looking like it had passed... More

We arrived on a busy Sunday morning. We had to wait a couple of minutes for a table but it was certainly worth the wait. The food and service were excellent. All staff were really friendly. The blackberry pancakes were amazing. We would definately recommend.

We just weren't up to another heavy meal in the Hickory Room at Canaan Valley Resort, so we drove about a mile to get breakfast at The Breakfast Nook. So glad we did! The restaurant is small, the atmosphere is homey, and the food is simple and well-prepared. Our portions were a good size, neither overwhelming nor skimpy, and the... More

My wife and I stopped here for breakfast prior to skiing at Canaan Valley. We absolutely loved this little restaurant. Very simple home style menu. I had blueberry pancakes with sausage and my wife had biscuits and gravy. The portions were large and the food was great.
