We had the burritos. Note: The portions are so huge that we could have easily split one. The dining area is small so be prepared to wait a few minutes for a table.

I'm not a burrito fan, but this place serves good food. The 2 people I was with loved this place. My daughter is a veggie lover and they had plenty of options for her. There is nothing, and I mean nothing, inside this building that will impress you. However, the place routinely packs out. Don't be surprised if you show...

Excellent burritos, great small town atmosphere, friendly staff. Great selection of very cheap beer. Always a must when we visit Davis!
...come here. It's like Chipotle on steroids. What, you were expecting the Ritz in Davis? Great, very badly majorly stuffed burritos; super beer selection; and the best of the local character (and characters). Hike ski bike or whatever; come here after and make your day.
I went here with a group. They absolutely refuse to split checks with credit card payment. This was very difficult! The food was acceptable but nothing special, I had a burrito (the Treehugger), and it was HUGE! I tried the queso but it tasted like it was made with Velveeta. They had beer available but no liquor, so no margaritas....

Great little place on the way home from skiing. Burritos are huge, try the Admiral it was tremendous. The Green Chili was delish also. Homemade Lemonade was worth it also. Waitress was very good & made great suggestions. Wish I could have had a beer with it, but had three + hours home after. Must try if travelling through.
Good food. However, we are usually with a group of people and they wont give separate tickets. They put all on same tickect and you have to figure out who owes what and pay at one time. So, we dont take groups there. Its a shame too cause food is good.
Been twice, very family friendly, had family 2nd time around. Excellent food, large portions for burritos and children's sizes are very large, had to take it to go. Not much fluff, but lots to look at on the walls, great atmosphere and very friendly efficient service. The upstairs is a nice place to warm up in the winter. I have...

Perfect little mountain cafe. Had a wood burning stove in the dining room, lots of vegetarian options on the menu and the staff was warm and friendly. Only beer and wine sold here but had a quaint little bar to hangout. Will definitely return when we are in the area.
My family and I have visited Hellbenders a few times and the food is generally pretty good. Spicy bean dip appetizer is tasty, and the crazy large burritos are more than filling. Also, watching the locals get their "hippie" on is entertaining, but I will have to say that my visit this week was probably my last.............
My family and...
