This place serves essentially only a selection of burritos as entrees; there is one taco selection. The burritos are large enough for two people and the filling I had tasted good. However, my burrito arrived only somewhat warm and ended being cold by the time I got to the last part of it. Another diner in my party said his... More

The service was good. The food was OK. The guacamole was really good. The chips and taco shells all looked and tasted like they were purchased at the local grocery store. The restaurant itself is gross and dirty. The chairs all need to be thrown out. Overall, the place just seems unsanitary.

We stopped here before checking into Blackwater Falls Lodge and went back the next night, too. It is certainly not fancy, but the food is very satisfying. The first night we split the Lost Hiker burrito and the second night we split the Hellbender. Both were excellent. The Lost Hiiker is mild and the Hellbender has some real heat, but... More

Hellbenders looks like a hole in the wall from the outside and it pretty much is. The food is good though. My husband and split a burrito because they are huge. Neither of us were hungry enough to tackle one by ourselves. Next time I'll skip the queso. It had a very condensed consistency.

I always make a stop here when I am in the area. They have so many great flavor combinations & the burritos are awesome. The salsa is so so yummy. The only downfalls are that it is dark in the restaurant and sometimes the service isn't very good. The food never fails to make up for it though! Yum.

We stopped in after kayaking the Cheat River. With hearty appetites we were extremely please with the satisfying and delicious tacos that were served to us. We tried the Steak, Chicken and Tofu Tacos all three were a big hit. The salsa was very tasty and disappeared rather quickly.

My daughter and I stopped here for lunch after doing some hiking in the area. The portions were big and the service was good but the food was just ok. They did have some local (WV) beers on tap which was a nice plus since i love craft beer and I dont live in the state anymore (I had the... More

We come to Hellbender's every time we're in town. The food is consistently fresh and outrageously delicious, the waiters are always friendly, and there's interesting music playing. I'm hooked on the Tree Hugger and the Hoodoo Voodoo burritos, and in the winter their chili always hits the spot. my older son loves the place so much he brought his friends... More

We waited over an hour, although it looked like locals were taken right away. Then they decided to close to see the fireworks. We were starving. There aren't many places to choose from and they were all full or closed. We ended up buying fruit, hummus and cheeses and having a picnic.
