Anytime we are near Charleston we make sure to stop at Chin's! The pork fried rice is the best I've ever had! We've never had a bad meal there! The egg rolls are very good and so different from other restaurants. The food is fresh, no buffet!

I've been coming to Chins since I was 8 years old. Ive always had the beef fried rice and its always had a unique taste and the ingredients are top notch. I recommend anyone to try Chins, I promise you wont be dissapointed....I know ive never been let down. Mr. Chin and his family are long time residents of Charleston... More

As a dedicated snobby former resident of the Boston-Washington corridor, I never thought that you could get any good food outside of a major city. My benchmark for Chinese food was NYC Chinatown, Philly Chinatown, and San Francisco Chinatown (the best). Much to my surprise and delight, my son found Chin's. I knew that it was a good sign when... The Chin family has been in the restaurant business since the 1930s in Charleston, West Virginia. Chin's Restaurant, located along MacCorkle Avenue in Kanawha City, is the granddaddy of all Chinese restaurants in West Virginia, in my opinion. This place is family-run now for four generations. The food is expertly prepared and served by John and Amy, a married couple... More

Relying on the positive reviews, we searched out and enjoyed a VERY good meal at Chin's. My tweens are food snobs and they really enjoyed their meals. Parking may be tight, but not when we arrived on a quiet Thursday evening.

Other than my wife, I will never cheat on my barber or Chin's! They use quality ingredients to create wonderful dishes. My favorites are the Beef with Broccoli and Sweet and Sour Pork. You won't find food sitting under buffet lights all day. Your lunch or dinner order will be prepared fresh and served hot. Portion sizes are above average... More

Have eaten here many times. Food is always freshly prepared and very good. I have never had a bad meal and have had many of the items on the menu. The family who own the restaurant are very friendly. Enjoy!

Speaking from experience from both coasts, this is good Chinese food. Two different dishes, two different sauces, cooked well and served rather formally (on a cart!). Service was good and the establishment clean. Better than Taste of Asia (any of them) or any of the buffet places. More variety on the menu with some dishes I had never seen before.... More

I just left after a delightful lunch at Chin's. I had never tried them before, but this is my friend's favorite spot. I can see why! The staff is very pleasant & attentive. The atmosphere is quiet & relaxing. The restaurant was spotless. The food is just delicious- and not frozen! The egg rolls were crisp on the outside, &... More

Chin's is a Kanawha City institution. The remodeling has made it even more inviting. The menu has not changed for years, but that is because it is a good menu! Try the Hot and Sour Soup. I really like the Schezwan beef over noodles. The prices are great!
