We landed in Charleston on a Monday night, when several restaurants that we had pre-selected were closed. Staying in a motel on the south end of town on MacCorkle Avenue, we didn't feel like making a 20-mile round trip to some other highly-rated establishment, so we opted for something in the area. Except for that, we wouldn't have ended up... More

Recently ate at this Mexican restaurant during the late afternoon and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of food. Service was great, food arrived within a few minutes of ordering, and the interior decor was exceptionally clean, colorful and very nicely decorated. I'm including a pic taken in the dining room area.

I eat here often and enjoy it every time. Though not the best, it is good food at a great price. Similar in taste and decor to so many other Mexican restaurants, but that's ok.

I feel I should disqualify myself from this review, because 1) I live in Chicago, where we have a huge Mexican community and two of the best Mexican restaurants in the US (Rick Bayless' Frontera Grill and Topolobampo. 2) I have travelled to Mexico over 10 times and know Mexican food beyond what passes for "Mexican" in the US. I... More

Just off exit 95 at MacCorkle - it's next to the Lowe's which you can see from the highway. I've eaten here 3 times recently on trips travelling through Charleston. Very good CHEAP mexican food in a new building. Main parking lot is behind the restaurant. Food is delicious and the salsa is excellent. Quick service too - you can... More

The food is really good and very affordable. It's been moved to a newly built location and is very clean and pleasantly decorated.

I used to eat at this restaurant a couple of times a week before I moved away from Charleston. Back then I knew the owners and their families and they were great. There is plenty of food and their cheese dip is the best!!!

Usually busy and deserves to be. This well-run restaurant offers very good food at incredibly low prices. Many choices on the menu, with several well-considered house specialties. Service is quite good: attentive and considerate. Food comes in considerable portions and most dinners cost less than $10 with a drink. Most importantly, people are relaxing and enjoying themselves as they eat.... More

This is a typical Mexican Place, Its o.k., it not as good as Rio in Nitro. The service was not that great, we had to keep asking for silver ware, drink refills etc... Staff was o.k., but not great. We had the cheese dip, Chicken Fjata's and casade'as. Took awhile to get to us, but was really good when it... More
