My sister and I went to Tidewater for lunch and sat by the window so we could enjoy the weather outside and catch up. Missy was our server and was very pleasant. Half way during our meal my sister noticed something against the window and thought is was a bird. Didnt think much of it until 5 minutes later i... More

Charleston is not a foodie destination, so unless you are willing to eat at a chain restaurant, the choices are limited. Charleston is also landlocked, do I cannot vouch for how fresh the seafood selections actually are. The jumbo fried shrimp were good, not outstanding, but good. $22 for the entree. Side salad was lackluster, the rolls were above average.... More

Before eating at Tidewater, I was generally disappointed with food in the Charleston area. We loved it here. Fresh, well prepared food here. . .excellent quality. Linda was our server, and she was fantastic. She went out of her way to provide outstanding service!

This was our first time to Charleston so we were not sure where to go for supper. After checking TA and finding the theTidewater was close to our hotel we decided to go. What a great choice. Chris was our waiter and he did a great job. First our salad was a meal in itself. The homemade ranch dressing was... More

My wife and I eat here often. The raw bar is very good and they prepare their fish in a variety of ways. The service typically has been very good, although when really busy, suffer sometimes suffers a little. But that would not stop us from eating there.

This is my second visit to this obviously "nice" restaurant in the mall-a-torium built in the center of this small capital. It is one of those places where you feel you should be in your best behavior. Both visits were with friends who live in Charleston. They made the reservations and were our hosts. The server was efficient and pleasant,... More

Awesome food, a bit high but worth every penny! And they added the tip to the bill which was ok but not very practical for those with a budget.

The Tidewater is in the Charleston Town Center Mall. The food is always outstanding! A little pricey but worth it. Their greek salad is out of this world!

This is one of the nicest places I've ever eaten at. The décor and staff were both awesome. The meals are priced right and you get good portions.

To be fair, I live in South Florida on the Gulf of Mexico and in my town if your seafood is any less than excellent you go out of business. What we got here was a grilled fish filet that was good, Our server was good and tried hard. When we entered the hostess was busy entertaining, eventually a server... More
