Tidewater has always been constant (except for the time when it got rid of the onion ring appetizer... worst. decision. ever.) The rolls are still in a small handful of the best rolls I have ever tasted. The salad is still quality. I can't help but thinking, however, this restaurant needs a major overhaul. For example, the menu has only... More

We were looking for a late night dinner after an exhausting drive. Pleased to be seated quickly at 9 pm. Disappointed that lobster roll was unavailable. Both had classic burger. Meat patty was delicious but bun too small and therefore messy to eat. French fries hot and fresh. Plate was $9.95 each. Requested side of coleslaw which was tasty but... More

Highly recommend tidewater grill. We had never been to Charleston and this restaurant was recommended by many local people. Jamie was our server and he was courteous, helpful and attentive. Would definitely return again!

we went in because it looked so nice from the outside, and wow, were we ever glad we did. The decor is lovely, the menu selections are varied and so very tempting, our server was extremely prompt, and the food was fabulous from soup to fresh baked rolls to salads to entrees- FRESH fish (we both had swordfish- prepared 2... My wife anticipated eating at Tidewater Grill for over one month for her birthday. Finally the day arrived, a Wednesday evening, and the restaurant wasn't extremely busy (no wait and several open tables). Our waitress arrived, took our drink and appetizer order (two shrimp cocktails and three waters). The beverages and shrimp cocktail arrived in about 15 minutes, and I... More

The service was very slow and the meals came out with one "tasting funny" ( chicken) so the individual didn't eat. We had to ask multiple times for condiments and refills and it wasn't the caliber of food or service as expected for a birthday dinner.

My sister and I went to Tidewater for lunch and sat by the window so we could enjoy the weather outside and catch up. Missy was our server and was very pleasant. Half way during our meal my sister noticed something against the window and thought is was a bird. Didnt think much of it until 5 minutes later i... More

Charleston is not a foodie destination, so unless you are willing to eat at a chain restaurant, the choices are limited. Charleston is also landlocked, do I cannot vouch for how fresh the seafood selections actually are. The jumbo fried shrimp were good, not outstanding, but good. $22 for the entree. Side salad was lackluster, the rolls were above average.... More

Before eating at Tidewater, I was generally disappointed with food in the Charleston area. We loved it here. Fresh, well prepared food here. . .excellent quality. Linda was our server, and she was fantastic. She went out of her way to provide outstanding service!
