One of Charleston's Best

Excellent spot for a celebratory dinner. Atmosphere is casual but the food is not! Fun drink menu, deliciously prepared food. My husband says the Kobe burger is the best burger he's eaten.

We visited last minute after shopping & was not disappointed in the food or service! Very good menu-- more upscale than the decor depicts. Since we rarely get out without kids we were hoping for a bit more of a romantic environment but it still has the same lunch cafe feel at night with the bar & big screens going.... More

South Hills Market & Cafe has an extensive and interesting lunch menu. We've tried just about every sandwich/wrap etc on the menu and been very delighted with the food. They also have a nice variety of local brews on tap. Service has always been attentive and cheerful. Howard is especially welcoming. We go there at least once a month since... More

I love visiting South Hills Market and Cafe. I usually order the Granny Smith apple and walnut salad, even though I intend to order something different. It is irresistible!

The food is excellent and the atmosphere is relaxing. This was a great experience. The chef is to be commended for creative ideas and superior flavors. I would recommend to everyone.

Delicious food, friendly service, clean, upscale without pretentiousness. Lunch was exceptional, food quality and presentation was tasteful. Stevie ( our server) was sweet and helpful with suggestions. Worth the trip !

My wife and I, usually in the company of friends and often for an occasion such as a birthday, have eaten here fairly often. The food and service have been consistently good. I admit to not always being intrigued by a chef's creation (not just this chef - any chef), but there is sufficient variety in the menu that I... More

Nice selection of sandwiches. We continue to be return customers. The Mediteranean side salad was excellent.

Honestly, I tried the number one rated restaurant, but they were closed due to water damage, the second one was pizza and I wasn't in the mood so I ended up at South Hills Market, and was not disappointed. I loved the ambience, the food, the drinks, the service and even the music. Howard was my bartender and waiter and... More

Looked for a lunch spot on a Friday noon off the beaten track of Charleston, as we travelled thru from Ohio to SC. What a find! Delicious! Great menu and service! Clean! Friendly! It was a bit tough to find and park, but after a few wrong turns we headed up a winding road and came to a wide spot... More
