The cafe has been recently renovated and this was our first time eating there. We stopped in for a quick lunch and were seated pretty quickly. We didn't realize they had stopped serving breakfast (their website hasn't been updated yet.) Our waitress was very nice but seemed a bit scattered (took a while to bring drinks, brought appetizers but no... More

My wife and I hit up the Market and Cafe during Charleston's Restaurant Week and they did a wonderful all around job for our experience. They wait staff is friendly and helpful and the food and adult drinks were some of the best we have had in the area. Highly recommended for a late lunch or early dinner.

I've been here several times, but went back recently when friends told me I had to check out their new bar. The place looks amazing! The interior has been completely remodeled and now has a cozy bar with TV's, new tables, and expanded seating. I sat at the bar and started with fried oysters and a martini. The oysters were... More

While shopping on Bridge Road, we decided to try somewhere different for lunch. I'd heard good things about this cafe, and they were all true! The location is very small and very cute. The menu had very interesting choices. We started with pimento cheese (served in an old-fashioned jelly jar) with flatbread crackers, $5. The cheese was a bit on... More

Having been to the South Hills Market many times for breakfast, and having been pleased with those experiences, I was not prepared to be disappointed with lunch there. The meals purchased by my friend and me were average, nothing special. The waitress seemed eager for us to finish our meals so the booth could be used by the next group... More

My family and I had dinner and lunch at this location. Food is very good. Service is very comfortable. It is really in a strip center so doesn't look like it would be great but it was very nice and food very fresh. Service was excellent.

I was in Charleston for business, and wanted to eat at this restaurant based on the high reviews, and I was not disappointed. Arrived for lunch on a Thursday, sat at the counter, and was promptly greeted with a smile and a menu. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting. I arrived after the regular lunch time, and about half of... More

This is a real gem. The minus is that is it is a small place and sometimes you cannot find a table and it is storefront restaurant. Seating is utilitarian, but there are few booths. It is not a place that one can hide a paramour. On the plus side, the food is exceptional. There is a fair amount of... More

My family and I had dinner there last night for our 12th wedding anniversary. We had a great time and a fantastic meal. Three words "Roasted Bone Marrow"!! Best appetizer ever!! Their She Crab Bisque was superb as always. My wife had the Pork Ribeye which she loved. I had the Grilled Skirt Steak which was cooked to perfection. The... More
