I was in Charleston for business, and wanted to eat at this restaurant based on the high reviews, and I was not disappointed. Arrived for lunch on a Thursday, sat at the counter, and was promptly greeted with a smile and a menu. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting. I arrived after the regular lunch time, and about half of... More

This is a real gem. The minus is that is it is a small place and sometimes you cannot find a table and it is storefront restaurant. Seating is utilitarian, but there are few booths. It is not a place that one can hide a paramour. On the plus side, the food is exceptional. There is a fair amount of... More

My family and I had dinner there last night for our 12th wedding anniversary. We had a great time and a fantastic meal. Three words "Roasted Bone Marrow"!! Best appetizer ever!! Their She Crab Bisque was superb as always. My wife had the Pork Ribeye which she loved. I had the Grilled Skirt Steak which was cooked to perfection. The... More

Was there Friday Nite 4-25. Glad we got a reservation because it was crowded. Food was excellent and service was good. Crab soup was great, salad was excellent and the Kobe Hamburger was very nice. Never disappointed and the prices are reasonable considering the quality. Recommended !

We had dinner there on 03/22/2014. Went there because they had several vegetarian dishes. Well, food was not all that good, nice atmosphere, good service, martinis were excellent. Fish dish and the goat cheese strudel was dry and bland.

We have been there several times this month and it is still consistently good. Some of the wait staff is new and service was a little slow clumsy i.e. had trouble opening a bottle of wine. I have had all the seafood selections on the menu and would recommend them

A great spot for lunch. Food is fresh and quality is always high. We like the Cobb salad and French onion soup.

Great dinner menu with an extensive selection of fresh and sophisticated (for Charleston) items. Good was well-prepared and presentation is very good. This cafe is expensive for a restaurant in Charleston but it is much more than your typical fancy steakhouse. It also has a reasonable wine and beer selection but liquor selection is limited. If you have stopped by... More
