Cozy Book Store & Cafe

One of my favorite places in Charleston. A great selection of magazines, local and international, as well as books. They have very good reviews and staff recommendations, and this is the place to go if you want to support local business. There is an annex to the side with art from local artists and artisans. The adjacent cafe offers coffee,... More

A nice walk in location. Nearby restaurants, etc. They offer a quit relaxing atmosphere, but it's a bit small to offer as most as you'd like from a store of this type and given its location. But if quit and small is what you prefer, this is the place.

This is a nice place to relax, have a cup of joe, and at times take in a show. The staff are very friendly and accomodating.

A great place for casual browsing and conversation in downtown Charleston. More than bookstore, there is a funky art gallery and cafe. On weekend nights, there is usually live music - entertaining but not intrusive to conversation. The cafe owner also has an interest in a microbrewery that is around the corner, so there is also fresh beer on tap;... More

Very nice bookstore with a lot to offer but I seriously wish they would do something with their coffee. It is so weak I poured the last cup I bought there down the drain. The dark roast variety is the color of tea. I hope someone there see this.

Taylor Books is an eclectic and awesome. If you're the kind of person who seeks out independent bookstores, you'll want to visit. The store has new as well as a small section of used books. There is an art gallery attached on one side, a cafe on the other, and a clay studio in the basement. And if that is... More
