Eclectic and Awesome

Taylor Books is an eclectic and awesome. If you're the kind of person who seeks out independent bookstores, you'll want to visit. The store has new as well as a small section of used books. There is an art gallery attached on one side, a cafe on the other, and a clay studio in the basement. And if... read more

We happened upon this book store after dining nearby and walking off dinner. Unfortunately, we were too full to try any of the tempting treats in the cafe. But if you're looking for a small bite, this would be worth investigating. Not only was there an eclectic selection of books, there was a room to the side with artisan goods.... More

This place was okay. My latte was not very hot, but I've only been once. There is 15 parking right up the street, so it didn't take me long to run and grab something. Neat maps and decor.

I love this coffee shop/book store. It's just a fun and relaxing place to be. Today I enjoyed the no-bake cookie. It was awesome.

Does not feature an extensive menu, but the atmosphere is wonderfully eclectic. The combo of used books, new titles and artwork can seduce you to while away the hours here.

When I graduated from college and was looking into a job, I spent hours upon hours in the comfy chair by the window with my own little lamp, table, and electrical outlet station. I could search the web for the next step on my journey on their free wi-fi and never have to worry about any of my electronics dying... More

Perhaps not the biggest or best place for food itself in Charleston, but it is very nice to come in for a cup of coffee or tea, a little something to eat (like the tiramisu), and to sit surrounded by books and the soft murmur of other readers. If you're so inclined, you might even take a seat by the... More

Great place to enjoy coffee, people, books, people watching from the window and live music on week ends!! There is limited food (sweets mainly) and it's usually very good.

Independent book store like they should be. Coffees, bakery, music in the evening, craft beers and wines and now a used book section. Local artist gallery as well. Every trip to Charleston includes a stop at Taylor Books Café!
