We had some friends come up frim Williamsburg and we decided we wanted to go to La Mezzaluna. It was on a Sunday night around 8:30, and it was clear they werent expecting more customers. The other half ordered eggplant parmesan, I ordered salmon fettucine, dad ordered lasagna, and our guests ordered fettucini alfredo and spinach ravioli (I think). I... More

Go early since you will not be alone and you will likely have a bit of a wait if you go late. One way or another, if your seated right away or if you need to wait a bit due to the popularity of La Mezzaluna, expect to be pleased with the service, atmosphere and meal! For us, it was... More

La Mezzaluna Café in Charles Town doesn’t look like much from the outside. The exterior entrance is just one more storefront in a row of similar entrances located in an aging strip mall. The sign declares simply "Café" and leaves it at that. Once inside, the prospects are more encouraging. This isn’t a fancy restaurant, but it is not without... More

We ate here twice last weekend and were very happy in both cases. The quality and quantity were both very good. They do not take reservations, last Saturday we had to wait about ten minutes, but it was worth it. Parking is easy in a Food Lion strip mall.

We've been regulars at this hidden gem for a long time and they never disappoint. This last visit, we went twice, once quite late and they stayed open to serve us and then again at an earlier hour. Servings are good sized, you won't leave hungry and the food is well prepared. A large bowl of salad and oh, so... More

I've been struggling with whether to even write a review of this restaurant, because my experience was so terrible that part of me has that "if you don't have anything nice to say..." guilt going on. But the people deserve to know! That's why we write these, right? My companion and I were visiting the area and decided to try... More

My husband got the Chicken Parm and I had the Fettichini Alfredo. We both agreed it was some of the best we have ever had. Many times the alfredo sauce will be heavy but theirs wasn't. The salad was excellent and I'm still dreaming about their bread (garlic knots). Our server was very helpful and friendly. If you are passing... More

The food is authentic Italian food. the prices are very reasonable for such quality food. I have never had a problem with the food, or wait staff. Before I even start I just want to say this was by far the best food I have ever had at an Italian restaurant. The flavor was amazing, and fresh. The garlic knots were amazing, and the salad calamari, shrimp I can go on, and on about how good this food was. I just can't get over the fact that... More
