Name any country bordering the Mediterranean, and the menu has some special dish to recommend. Portions are generous; service friendly--like sit down at the table friendly. This family operated restaurant has roots in Sicily, Israel, Honduras, Greece, and Spain. Please don't miss the mint tea--hot or iced! Tables are small--usually for two--but there are a couple of larger tables seating... More

We tried this restaurant after a trip to Hollywood Casino. The wait staff was very friendly. We enjoyed the decor, which is very Middle Eastern. The menu is varied. There are a several Mediterranean countries represented on the menu. We really enjoy the huumuus, salad and bread that was served as an appetizer. I had ground beef kabobs, my husband... More

We've eaten here several times and have never been disappointed. The owner is very friendly and the atmosphere is very nice. The best alfredo in town is also located here. I highly recommend the Mediterranean Cafe.

The owner was very nice and welcoming. Flatbread, salsa, and humus were brought to the table instead of rolls. We ordered two different shrimp dishes, but they both looked like they had the same sauce. The presentation could have been better as there was no garnish or anything to make it look pleasing. The food was okay, but not superb.... More

Ate at the Mediterranean Cafe on July 4th. After reading the reviews I thought I'd be getting an excellent meal. That wasn't the case. Both our meals were extremely disappointing. The kabob was so tough it was hard to cut with the knife. My Greek salad was covered in dried oregano to the point that that was all you tasted.... More

The Mediterranean Cafe is our favorite local restaurant. The world music, the eclectic atmosphere, the friendly staff, and, most especially, the glorious food are what keep us coming back time after time. The live entertainment on weekends is a special treat, whether it's excellent local musicians or exotic belly dancers. The chef-owner is always warm, relaxed, and accommodating. We've never... More

Alfredo's cooking is truly wonderful. I moved to W.V after living in NYC most my life, and traveling all over Europe, and had resigned myself to driving in to DC for good restaurant cuisine, until I discovered The Mediterranean Cafe. Ingredients are fresh, the flavors distinct, and even though his menu covers a wide scope of cuisine, each dish holds... More

Small quiet place to eat. Need to BYOB, but there is a wine store across the street.
