Love this place!

While wine tasting in Loudoun county we got pretty hungry. Luckily in the middle of nowhere, USA there is this place. I followed the reviews on here and I'm so glad I did. The service is excellent, the food is so great! I eat Mediterranean in NYC, and this was up there. Not sure why the cuisine is... read more

Stopped by Alfredo's Mediterranean Cafe in Charles Town today. Passed it by since it opened years ago. Stupid us. As everyone else says: ignore the hand "painted" sign outside, enter, and be charmed by Alfredo, the decor, and most, the food. We had two different kabobs and both were terrific, as was the pita bread plate brought free right away.... More

Our first visit was August 2012, and one year later we've dined there 4 times. It seems most of the eateries on this main street are the 'quick eats'. I like this place as a nice 'sit down' standard restaurant. Nothing fancy at all but a great menu. The idea of 'Mediterranean' in its true sense; that is that they... More

This was a gem of a find. To have a Mediterranean restaurant out in horse country was fabulous. The food was awesome and to get some great hummus and salad as a free appetizer was just the tip of the ice berg. The shrimp ceviche was out of this world and the eggplant stew was phenomenonal. The service was great... More

We found Alfredo's on restaurant.com and were sad to find upon arrival that the restaurant was no longer a participant. That was the ONLY disappointment of our visit. We were greeted promptly and brought out an appetizer. At first bite, we knew we'd found a new favorite restaurant. It is evident that the food is fresh and made on site.... More

Don't be put off by the outside of the building because once inside the atmosphere was friendly and quite simply the food was delicious. Everything was fresh and tasty; shrimp that had the texture and taste of Greece - the salads crunchy and the hummus probably the best I have ever tasted. I have lived and traveled throughout the Mediterranean... More

My family and I stopped in on to try a local restaurant and we enjoyed both of our meals. The owner of the restaurant, Alfredo, is very personable and made the experience great. The interior of the restaurant is very comfortable with rugs on the floor and pillows on the benches. The night we were there, a live guitarist was... More

Given the Trip Advisor rating. Lamb skewers were tough and try. Will not be returning. Atmosphere was quite unique and no issues with service. The food however, did not pass muster

I wanted to try a true Mediterranean restaurant for its gyro sandwich. The outside of the restaurant was a huge turn off when I pulled up. If it wasn't for the rave reviews on trip advisor i would not have even thought about going in. The inside of the restaurant was a little better but they had rugs on the... More

Since my last review I have discovered that I am gluten intolerant. Going out to dinner has become more of an ordeal than a pleasure. Not only am I allergic to wheat, etc., I am also allergic to nightshade plants, which include tomatoes, potatoes, all forms of peppers, and eggplant. Alfredo went over my allergies with me tonight and advised... More
