Alberto's Mediterranean Café has become a very popular dining spot in Charles Town. The restaurant is friendly and the service by Alberto and his helpers is informal but efficient. The dining room is small, some five tables plus six booths, and an al fresco seating area... a jumble of space, colors, and artifacts which makes for a lively atmosphere! Food... More

I have to say that the complimentary appetizer was tasty. The hummus and feta served with tomatoes and flatbread was pleasantly delectable according to my wife which I liked too. The service was good, although it was a turnoff to see the cook and the owner wearing their aprons serving our food. The owner recommended a family style platter showcasing... More

First off, the platter of pita bread triangles, hummus, cheese w/ balsamic vinegar, and veggies in vinaigrette was hands-down the best complimentary pre-ordering appetizer ever. Both my wife and I had excellent entrees from the wonderfully eclectic menu as well. Here's an odd measure of how good the food was: The live musicians were the worst I've even witness, and... More

We were referred to this place by another local shop owner and we were pleasantly surprised by the food. We got a LOT of very great food for little cost. The atmosphere was great and the place very clean. I highly recommend!

Date night dinner has to be better than average, or I'll blame the restaurant for wasting my opportunity. This was great! My Camarones d'Aoili was simple and delicious; the husband had done his research & scored big with the kabobs. I was ready to go, but then we heard the dessert list! My tiramisu was rich and not-too-sweet. His "Mediterranean... More

My husband and I enjoy different types of ethnic food, and we were delighted to find a terrific Mediterranean restaurant so close to home. They have friendly, prompt service, brought us a starter plate of hummus, pita and a little tomato cucumber salad so we could nibble while we considers the menu. We will come back again soon!

Good and clean. Will try the dinner menu next time and enjoy live music on Sat eve. It's nice to see a Mediterranean style restaurant in Charles Town. Amari, the owner seems creative and seeks to enhance his offerings and service. That's good for his patrons, and I look forward to more dishes in the future.

While staying in nearby Harper's Ferry, we went out looking for a place to eat. It was President's Day and most places where closed. We happened upon the cafe and where pleasantly surprised from the moment we walked in the door. We where greeted immediately upon entering, with a booth open we sat immediatley. I barely had time to realize... More

I started to eat at the Mediterranean a few years ago. Wonderful place. I started with the gyro and now I'm moving and experimenting with other cuisines. Right now I am stuck on mediterranean pasta. Alfredo makes me feel very welcomed. He is hilarious. I am in there every week. I love the decor, makes the place feel very exotic.... More

Don't let the small cafe fool you. You can get quite a meal from this place. It starts with a house arrangement of pita bread with feta/olives/salad/hummus which shocked us when brought to the table. The kabobs are so fragrant and satisfying. Also, the Mediterranean pasta was to die for!!! A wonderful blend of roasted veggies and garlic. The head... More
