Consistently great food, slow service

This restaurant has delicious food, but had I not been staying at the Best Western I would've never known it existed. It's off the beaten path and located in the Best Western parking lot. After traveling all day, it's always a pleasure to just walk across the parking lot from your lodging to a restaurant. Angus and Ale doesn't look like much but it's very large and obviously is a gathering place for locals as well as travelers - always a good sign. Their hours change seasonally and in October they close at 8... More

The choices for wings is great, but 1st batch a little over-cooked. Steaks were AWESOME, so was the Chili. Baked potato & cole slaw were very good!

Great shrimp, fries were ok the fried banana cheese cake is heavenly. Would have given more stars if the restaurant felt cleaner.

Discusting. Filthy tables, arms stick to the table and carpeted floors (including restroom floors) fruit flies everywhere. Now for the food. Salad was good except for the tomatoes. Overcooked baked potato, steak gross, tasted boiled and heated on a flat grill. Was a ny strip but you cant tell, servers are happy but clueless. Not busy. Ruined the last day... More

YUpppp! That's what I said ... culinary delight. Down home comfort food. A must try especially if you are staying at the Best Western across the parking lot. It doesn't look like much and you may pass it but you've got to try it! The service was not what I was use to but they were apologetic when there was... More

We visited A and A on a Saturday evening during a couples weekend to Berkeley Springs. We were relaxed and wanted to enjoy an adult beverage, so we decided to try this restaurant. It shares a parking lot with the hotel where we were staying. How bad can it be? Well, to answer that, at least we didn't get sick.... More

We stopped in on a Saturday around 6pm and it was busy. It was homecoming at the high school and lots of people where there. In spite of that, service was pretty good. We got the smothered burgers and they were cooked the way we asked and they filled us both up. I would recommend that they get bigger beer... More

This place serves small portions with 1" long pieces of grissle in the meat. The waitress brought my food first, but forgot the mustard. After waiting 9 minutes my husband went to the kitchen to find her and there she was laughing it up with the cook!!! All she said was, "oh, that's right". Ha ha. When i got home... More
