The proprietors very kindly and very quickly put on the game for which I was looking. Food: the nachos were good, a big helping. The mozzarella sticks were about what they usually are anywhere else. Clientele was friendly, mostly a post-movie crowd, and they had the local high school football game on the radio throughout the bar which I really... More

Recently we had lunch at this places and just about everything was poor. The service was very slow, the food (basic hamburger and cheese steak) was barely edible, and the beer selection was terrible. The hamburger was not even freshly made and was some frozen thingy was no taste. IN sort, avoid this place.

This town dies after 9 PM....sometimes sooner. It's the only bar right in town that is open till like 11-12 on weekend. You'll smell of greasy food, but it's open.

We were in Berkeley Springs, VA during the weekend of "Art in the Park." Our group (a collection of adults and children) selected Mountaineers Sports Bar & Grill because of the cross-section of standard, safe menu options. We made the wrong decision, big time. As other reviewers have mentioned, there was basically one server. I can only assume there was... More

We went into this place with high hopes but left disappointed. I was looking forward to a nice cool drink. We ordered drinks that were delivered without ice. She said they were out of it but would get some shortly. The cheese steak sandwiches were served in cheap hot dog buns. The nachos appeared to be covered with thick liquid... More

We stopped on two nights and had a good time both nights. Top shelf alcohol seems to be rare in Berkeley Springs but this bar has it. Maybe next time we will try the food.

We went around noon to watch college football, hang out, have a few beers, and eat lunch. There was only one server and one cook there to cover bartending, food orders, and cooking. It took about an hour to get our food, and drink service was REALLY slow. The burgers were pretty good, but the fries were pretty bland and... More

We arrived in town on a Saturday afternoon. Hubby wanted a beer and a bite to eat so we stopped in at Mountaineer Sports Bar and Grill. We ordered a small pizza. Our waitress was also the owner, since it was mid-afternoon and the place was pretty empty. They had their Halloween party the night before and the DJ was... More

FIrst time there, went for Saturday afternoon, got seated. One lady on duty and it is supposed to be a sports bar, after waiting for 20 minutes to give an order, requested appetizer. Never did receive it, after waiting for 45 minutes just got up and left. Waitress didn't even know, other customers left because of never getting service at... More
