Description: Had an AMAZING dining experience last night at The Ambrae House, a new B&B in Berkeley Springs, W.V. Starting with the open air patio to the up-scale friendly beer and wine bar to the quaint restaurant, the ambiance of the establishment is a 10! And then there is the food, if the ambiance is a 10, the food is a 12! The Maryland Crab Chowder is a must; the Maryland Crab Cakes are full of crab, and any filler is sparse, the best we have ever had! This will be a weekly date night for us.

Dropped in for lunch and the food was pretty good. However when other customers showed up with a dog that was allowed in the eating area that from freaked me out. My wife is allergic to dogs and I could see the loose dog hair going everywhere every time someone pet the dog. Not to mention the hostess and servers... More

Absolutely love this restaurant. Never a complaint about the food, outdoor dining and atmosphere so relaxed. The live entertainment has always been enjoyable. My teenagers love going here as well. The only negative thing i could say is that i wished they were open more often than just weekends.

My husband and I stayed in Cacapon State Park and came here for dinner and drinks. We were so happy that we decided to stop here. The food was fabulous and very reasonably priced. We both had the surf & turf. The steaks were great and the steamed shrimp was cooked to perfection with just the right amount of Old... More

My family of 6 stopped through on our way back to Pittsburgh and thought that the town looked so cute and Ambrae House was as well. The waiter was very accommodating and took care of my Sprite that was flat very nicely. The fries I had with my cheeseburger was great! Another member of the crew that the fish was... More

Made reservations for a large party, they told us we'd be seated on the deck. In PA we call this the front porch. The drinks we ordered were overpriced for size and served in plastic cups like you would get at a stadium. Ran out of appetizers, didn't deliver some, couldnt't get french fries served until meal was over. Mistakes... More

We ate here on our first night. Was very good! We just had burgers...wanted to save some money...some options are pricey. Live music was a nice touch....ended really early though. This is not a night owl town for sure!! It's a bummer cause I would have stayed till 2!

We stayed at the B&B, but this reveiw is about the restaurant/bar. When we first arrived on Friday afternoon, we needed a little something to hold us to dinner. We shared the crab soup and bhang bhang shrimp and drinks. Both were delightful. We also had lunch on Saturday and it was very tasty and the drink special was good.... More

Bartenders had no idea of what Black Russian was and after 10 minutes, I told them how to fix it. Some woman comes in from what I assume was the dining room and whips it up. But again, an upscale restaurant should have top shelf alcohol. The staff was very friendly however.

We ate lunch here. The panini I had was really good. Everything was cooked to order. We like the staff and the atmosphere so much that we came back later in the day for drinks.

Excellent atmosphere and cuisine A little gem in rural West Virginia. Located in old downtown, close to antique shops and spa. Have to try their grilled Ruben sandwich.
