Had an AMAZING dining experience last night at The Ambrae House, a new B&B in Berkeley Springs, W.V. Starting with the open air patio to the up-scale friendly beer and wine bar to the quaint restaurant, the ambiance of the establishment is a 10! And then there is the food, if the ambiance is a 10, the food is a 12! The Maryland Crab Chowder is a must; the Maryland Crab Cakes are full of crab, and any filler is sparse, the best we have ever had! This will be a weekly date night for us.

You have to try the bang bang shrimp with fried spinach. Absolutely unique menu and great choices! Everyone will love this place, especially with their beer selection.

Stopped in for a midweek late lunch. Fine waitstaff, very friendly and helpful. Selections are very limited, however what we ordered was excellent, the French fries are some of the best we have eaten. Very relaxed, we ate in the outside bar area, were surprised to see it even had a small sand beach. Looks like a great place to... More

We had drinks and burgers. All was great. The wings we ordered were very tasty. Wish they were open more frequently.

Stopped in here on the way through Berkeley Springs on Father's Day, and was happy to see the place surprisingly uncrowded about 6:00pm. The greeter was helpful and got us in and down right away, and Chelsea showed up, and proved to be a great asset to the place throughout the meal. I started with the artichoke dip, which was... The crab bisque is delicious. And the rest of the meal was so-so. I would not recommend this location. They do not use fresh ingredients -- as the steak sub meat appeared to be frozen meat or else very dry and overcooked. Service was great. Drinks never went dry. But that was the highlight.

Very nice restaurant. The food was good, the atmosphere was good, the only draw back is it can get a little noisy in there. Where we dined was inside the house, but you could sit outside if you wanted. The food was good and the price was reasonable.

Stopped into the bar area on our way to dinner for a cocktail and to catch some of the music from the singles act playing there. The music was great (didn't get the guy's name). with covers including Wichita Lineman to an excellent rendition of Sympathy for the Devil and everything in between. The drinks we good and we enjoyed... More

My family and I live near Baltimore, and I work in D.C. Therefore, I have access to a lot of quality restaurants, but Ambrae House is my favorite restaurant. We stop in whenever we are in town, and we're never disappointed. The inside dining room in the historic house is lovely, but our favorite is the casual outside deck. The... More
