I put one star so people would look at my review along side the other one-star review. I have never in all my years on Trip Advisor read a more self-centered, pretentious review than that one. In the time I have visited the Manor we have held our wedding rehearsal dinner reserving the entire place and have taken my wife's... More

After a few years hiatus from the Birchfield Manor, I was extremely glad to have revisited. Expect excellence. Very attentive Resort level service from every staff member I encountered. Although the Manor is known for the cuisine (again, excellent) I appreciate the setting of the bed and breakfast. Albeit Yakima, bring your high expectations, thru my 5 visits there I... More

This is not your normal restaurant. The first thing is that seating for dinner is at a specific time. It was 7PM when we were there. The feeling is very inviting as if you were guests of a home that had a gourmet chef and a butler. The prices are higher than listed on this site. Most items were in... More

We were staying at Birchfield Manor for the weekend and saw the menu for the restaurant posted upstairs. It looked delicious, but also pricey, so we were a little hesitant. We were here celebrating our 10 year anniversary, so we decided to splurge and give it a try Saturday night. I am so glad we did! They were able to... More

Don't let the Bed and Breakfast scare you away, Birchfield is a premier dinning experience. I have never had a more perfectly executed Rack of Lamb. Each of the courses complement the next. If you love food and wine, Birchfield Manor is a must!

If you are in the Yakima area and want a special dinner, go to Birchfield Manor. Be sure you have enough time to fully enjoy the four courses and you need a reservation. The salad was excellent. I had salmon in puff pastry and it was delicious. The pastry keeps it warm. They also had delicious beets which is such... More

Birchfield Manor is a very special place in Yakima. It is an old house that has been converted into a very small and intimate dining experience. You are essentially eating in a living room/dinning room/sitting room of an old house. That may sound a bit odd but it is very quaint. Eating at the Birchfield is considered a very special... More

The menu consists of five to six entrees (fish, seafood, beef, lamb) with salad and appetizer included with entree. Food is always great, as is the service. Very friendly and attentive. Only one seating each night, so you need a reservation and must be on time. You don't have distraction of people coming and going during dinner. Usually three or... More

Very small, very intimate. Very expensive too. The menu doesn't change much and I've always enjoyed it. It's known as the best 'fancy' restaurant in town to eat at and it is. The steaks are very good and the lamb is excellent. The wine list is mostly a winner but avoid (at all costs) the Blackwood Canyon wines.

My wife and I have been going to Birchfield Manor ever since it opened back in the 70's and it has ALWAYS been our favorite. We have never been disappointed. When we have someone visit whom we want to impress, this is always our first choice. We were thrilled when they started doing special seasonal dinners and are looking forward... More
