Hipster paradise

This place is located in an old train station in downtown Yakima. The did a great job showcasing the stations former grandeur. It has what you would expect in terms of coffee and treats. What makes this place cool is the decor. Hipsters looking to sip jo and feel Portlandia-ish will dig this place.

We were one of the first customers on a Saturday morning.we were disappointed by the grumpy barista. She didn't smile once and barely looked at us. The coffee was not great. This is sad! This is one of the only places to go on an early weekend morning that is not a hotel. I want to support local businesses while... More

We were in Yakima for one night, were told to look for this coffee place in the morning. Excellent coffee, and the atmosphere is crazy! It's an old train station. Very unique! Highly recommend for morning coffee.

This is located in the old Burlington Northern railway depot. Cool old building. Service staff is friendly, coffee and treats are good. Nice place to hang out. They also have a local farmer's market in the entry way so you can get your locally grown veggies and fruit to take away also.

Funky atmosphere, usually pretty decent staff, great location, great coffee! Love the live music in the evenings.

I LOVE Northtown. I go here a lot, probably too much. The servers are wonderful, the coffee is great and the atmosphere is brilliant. If you're stopping in Yakima and enjoy coffee, Northtown coffee is a must!

In this former train station changed into a coffee house, you can have a great coffee and work or spend a nice time with your friends, sit in these comfy couches! And if you're lucky, you can hear the train coming!

As I have read on some other reviews, the coffee was very weak for how many shots were supposedly in it. Although it was a very cute place, I probably won't go back.

I've never written a review on tripadvisor, but felt compelled to after seeing the horrible review previously left for this place. I love Northtown Coffeehouse and have been to the new location about 7 times. The space is very well lit and it's an incredible historical building. I've only gone during the day and early afternoon, but I've never experienced... More
