Good choice for multiple dietary needs

Was up in Woodland for a day trip with two friends to see Hulda Klager Lilac Gardens and wanted lunch first. Not only did we need to find a "type" of cuisine we all liked, in addition, one of us is gluten free, two are diabetic, and one super careful about sodium intake. Mali Thai is a tiny place... read more

Nothing like the good places in Portland, but if you want Thai, this will work for you. You'll have to wait a long time in a very downscale sitting area, however.

Right off the freeway, this place wasn't crowded and the food was served quickly. Fantastic Pad See Ew, Beef Pho, Teriyaki Chicken and Tom Yum. The Massaman Curry was the only dish we were not thrilled with.

Mali Thai serves tasty authentic Thai cuisine in a modest setting - more like a diner. The prices are mid-range and the service is good at this family run restaurant. Gluten Free Pad Thai available. If you are in Woodland and like Thai - try the Mali Thai Cusine.

It was the last night visiting my son and his family so we went out for dinner. I read the reviews on tripadvisor and rolled the dice. We were pleasantly surprised. We all enjoyed our dishes. I ordered a curry dish with shrimp and my only complaint was that the first couple of shrimp tasted like they were cooked separately... More

Saturday nite and no one in the place should of gave us a warning.6 tiny pieces of chicken on a bed of solid rice noodles( over-cooked probably hours ago) was my dinner. No flavor. I had to soak it in peanut sauce. They won't be in business very long.

I wanted to like this place because the woman was so nice. Unfortunately the food was the worst Thai we've had. Hardly any chicken and overcooked noodles.

THE PHO IS TOP 10 we have had in the USA. The rice dishes were also very good as were the generic egg roll--transformed by the dipping sauces. The Pho broth could have used a touch more flavor, but the meatballs were the best or second best we have had(pho in Longview, Tx might be better). Pretty good value, standard... More
