GREAT tapenade

I really like sitting at the bar at this café, ordering wine, and enjoying their tapenade. Their cheese "flights" are really good as well. But be prepared to pay for it... Being a "wine bar," they have a great wine selection, but it's overpriced, as you would expect it to be. Dining here is a... read more

The food was well above average. The server was wonderful, attentive but not over the top. The only downside is that it can be a little noisy at times.

Purple Café and Wine Bar is one of our go-to favorite restaurants. The food is always great - from the lobster mac & cheese to the filet mignon, we have never been disappointed. Whenever we are asked where to go in Woodinville, Purple is at the top of our list!

Had a special and a beer at happy hour, the WA state wines were not discounted...Really nice bar, lots of folks eating there and restaurant was busy on a Friday afternoon. Service was great, I also visited Sparkman Cellars next door.

We started off with the calamari and bruschetta which everyone loved. I got the chicken marsala and it was excellent and my only complaint would be that the mashed potato portion was very small, my husband got the lamb and pancetta meatball pasta and he described it as "not amazing," my cousin got the dungeness crab and wild mushroom pasta... After a day of sampling wines at the various wineries in Woodenville, there is nothing better than a first class meal which is what our party of 5 experienced at the Purple Cafe. It is centrally located and everything from the pizza to the the entrees were creative and a perfect complement to the many wines we had tried. Our... More

The dinners we all had were ok, but not good. The hostess was a bit rude, but the waitress was great. Would not go back.

One of the better places you can eat in Woodinville. Cool vibe, superb wine menu, nice NW style continental cuisine. This place can get super busy, reservations are a good idea.

The food, wine and service were very good; little expected niceties were missing. Our entrees consisted of string spaghetti with marinara sauce and lamb meatballs (very good, but a small serving for a main entree), Gruyere toasted cheese sandwich served with tomato soup and mixed greens salad (very good, generous serving), mushroom meatloaf with mashed potatoes and green beans (my...
