At Old Schoolhouse Brewery, we strive to create microbrews that satisfy the discerning hop head as well as those who prefer a lighter taste. Unique to Winthrop, our brewery uses chlorine-free water that flows from the pristine North Cascade mountains. This clean, uncontaminated water helps enhance the natural flavors of the malts and hops bringing you a superior beer drinking experience. A Game of a Town and Restaurant

Well. I was wrong. My wife insisted on staying here for two days on the way back from a Seattle Trip - and I was of the opinion that there was nothing here worth spending a day at, let alone two. I was wrong. Great little hotel on the river (another review) and some really fun road biking... read more

Very laid back and relaxed with a great buzz and atmosphere. The live music is a superb accompaniment when dining.

I was here a few nights ago with a large group of friends, and we all agreed it was top notch. The beer is award winning, and deserves the titles it has won. I had fish and chips that were very good, very hot, and very fresh. Nobody went away dissatisfied. I would highly recommend dinner at the Old Schoolhouse... More

We were somewhat disappointed by the Old Schoolhouse Brewery. Past experience is that dining is Winthrop leaves something to be desired, so we were looking forward to this place. The location is prime if you're on the main strip, and the atmosphere is great. Small inside but lots of room outside to spread out, and once we were finally seated,... More

Beautiful atmosphere inside and out. The outdoor space is just perfect. They are right along the river, so you can sit outside and sip on your beverage of choice while enjoying the amazing view. We were able to meet the owners and they were just the nicest people. I highly recommend stopping in.

My husband likes IPA's and all the beers he tasted, he said they were all excellent. We sat outside on the deck, overlooking the river. The view was great and you can see that they are trying to keep the bees away (it's August and the bees are a lot more annoying this month than usual). The wait staff were... More

This places was feeling the end of season indifference to tourism vibe, even though our visit was still in early August. Our server was deadpan, but did get the job done. Food was average at best although to be fair they don't claim to be gourmet. The portabello mushroom burger was better than the meat burger. Beer was very good... More

We had to wait for a table, and then offered to share a table with other people. We did not mind. There was live music playing. We had a nice hamburger and good local beer.Lots of hornets around! But still, we had fun!

Fun spot to come & sit on the deck over the river & enjoy live music on the week ends. Had some great pub food and the beer was quite nice as well.
