I had read about this brewery restaurant and was looking forward to trying it. I thought it was ok, but nothing special. The food was average, the actual "schoolhouse" was kind of disappointing too. Service is ok, but very slow.

The outside patio overlooks the river, which was great on a hot day. We stopped first for cold drinks, and the service was fantastic but went back for dinner and though the food was good, we were quite forgotten about by our server. Could have just been one of those busy days - we would go back for sure.

It's tiny entrance conceals a lively cafe and sizable waterfront patio. We tried some of the craft IPA, which weren't bad at all. The vegie burger and the nacho's were fine, but the fries were outstanding. Friendly, if somewhat weary looking staff. It was late in the season and huge forrest fires in the area were making people nerves.

This was the only restaurant open in town when the power came back on after the 8 day outage in July due to the fires. The food was good, but not great. Seating is sort of a free for all. The cover charge after 7:00 (I guess for the evening entertainment) was not popular with us who were not interested... More

Had a nice lunch here on a beautiful sunny afternoon. Pulled pork sandwich was delicious. My wife had a burger with a gluten free bun that was very convincing. ( Often they just crumble, would love to know where they are made.) Also gluten free beer, which was very tasty. I enjoyed a couple of their draft beers as well.... More

Great beer and atmosphere. Inside sitting and outside sitting, food was very good. When we were there they had a nice band playing in the outside area which is on the river. Make sure and pack your bug spray.

We drank and ate here on our two day stay in Winthrop. Great Craft beers, though to the English palate slightly too cold and fizzy. Very knowledgeable and informative owner with a real interest in his beers. The river flowing at the rear makes wonderful sound and focal point. Other customers friendly and welcoming, like everybody in Winthrop.

$48, not including tip, got us a glorified hot dog and fries, two beers and I can't even remember what the other food item was. Obviously, not anything outstanding. We eventually got a table near the river, but we were not in shade and there was no breeze. Service was really slow. I thought my husband was going to melt... More

I am puzzled by your complaint about the cost. Both the homemade corn dog and side of fries is on our appetizer list for $6 each. Our award-winning beers are $4.75/pint which would bring your bill to $21.50. We do ave several tables on our patio that have umbrellas for shade and another two that are are under our stage... More
